So driving around town, i've noticed a few cars with license plates that have registration stickers with a Red T and barcode.
Anyone know what this is?
It doesn't have th Year/Month barcode as a regular sticker and I don't think it is for Temporary or a Rental Car.
Could this be used by dealerships?

Red license plates are given to diplomats living in Ontario. This signifies the driver's diplomatic immunity.
oh they dont give out those paper temp plates anymore, you actually have to have the plate and they give you the T to show a 10 day permit I believe.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess this cuts down on some of the fake papers in the windshield.

you have a choice to pay for 1 year or 2 years either way it always expires on your birthday (if it's registered to your name).
The T stickers are indeed temporary plates as per MTO site:
Temporary Vehicle Registration allows vehicles to be driven to licensing offices, garages (eg. to satisfy Safety Standards Certificate and/or Drive Clean requirements) and for other necessary short-term transportation purposes. Temporary Vehicle Registration is a "T" validation sticker that must be affixed to the upper right hand corner of your licence plate and will be valid for ten days starting with the date issue. A vehicle that has been sold must be registered in the new owner's name, prior to Temporary Vehicle Registration being issued for the vehicle.
it also says that they still issue paper ones but they're now called 'special permit' and mostly used for out of province cars

Cardi I guess you can take the "T" off of your plate since we know it doesn't stand for tool.
