So, my wife has an 02 Civic. She went to use the AC yesterday (considering how hot it was) but nothing was coming out of the vents. No air or anything. So, I assume something is wrong with the fan (or whatever it is that's pushing the air out). I don't hear any noise at all. Nothing will come out of any of the vents.
Any ideas??
I plan on bringing it to Street Performance but it might not happen until next week. Thanks in advance.

Did you check the fuses?

I believe you have to check fuse #17 in the under-dash fuse box but I'm not 100% sure if it's the same configuration on that year of Civic. However, if that fuse is blowing, you have another problem, and it is likely the blower motor resistor which should be located under the glovebox. If you find that the fuse is bad and replace it but the fuse keeps blowing, you should locate the resistor and pull it out. Replace the fuse, and then try it. If it's working, you should replace the resistor.
This is how I solved my issues with the fan not working but it was on a 2000 Civic. I'm doubt Honda has changed their electricals much since then.

why go through all the trouble when you can use it as an excuse to sell the car and get her a Mazda 3?

thanks for the suggestions. I actually just thought of the fuse just before I saw your responses. I'll give that a try tomorrow and hope for the best.

lol.. she actually likes driving my 3 because it's so much easier to drive (more power, steering wheel controls, etc).. I think it might be easy to convince her to switch over when it's time to sell..

the fuse is fine. it's not blown. I checked the manual and it's #4. not sure where the resistor is. I guess I definitely have to take it into Street Performance. hopefully they can figure it out.
if anybody else has any ideas please feel free to post it up.. thanks.

Just an update. Jimmy and Richard took a look and it seems to be a resistor issue. They had to buy one from Honda for $122+tax and it will cost $60 for 30 minutes of labor. It will be installed today. I wasn't there but my wife said it only took them 5 mins to find the issue.
