Hey guys... Was just wondering if such a thing existed? Does the manufacturer warranty the bulbs, or do I just simply replace them?

If so, how many years? Thanks!

Headlight bulbs are covered under the Mazda 3/80 basic warranty. All bulbs are for that matter

Yes they are..the first 80,000 or 3 years is bumper to bumper warranty...the only thing that is not covered is things like that wear..like brakes wipers etc...after 20,000km

yeah they are covered for up to 80km i remembered the only reason i held out so long to put hid's on my 3 is not to void my warranty. I higly recommend HID's for 3's they look incredible. I got mine at a good price to

Did ur friend asked if its covered under warranty?

Go to a dfferent dealership if they dont want to honour it, and file a complaint.

i'll have to ask him tonight.

but usual Q&A at a dealership session goes like this:
- I have a problem, my ________ ...... is it covered under warranty?

- No. it costs $XXXXX

- Damn, Well, Ok replace it I guess..

I have a feeling bulbs would only be covered for the first 1 year/20,000KM. Not the full term. The dealer might be nice and replace them anyway though.

If you read your manual it says what is not covered after the frist 20,000km...Things that wear are not covered under warranty after 20,000km...lights are covered till 80,000km

Well I have had some stuff denied warranty and there is even a service bulletin out for some of it so it doesn't mean anything. Personally I think everything "should" be covered for the 3 years/80k.

Actually, what page in the manual does it say that headlight bulbs are covered under warranty? I just searched through the manual and couldn't find it. Just for reference sake...

In the manul it says what's NOT covered after 20,000km ...Read that part...The manaul only tells you what they are not going to cover after 20,000km..

You still didn't answer my question and again, I couldn't find it. Don't worry about it.

I think the bulbs are just like the wipers/brakes/tires when it comes to warranty- just the first year they are covered

Man, no offense but you are useless for helping someone out. You beat around the bush instead of just getting to the answer.

Then you say there isn't anything in the manual to say it is or isn't covered so that must mean it is covered under warranty?? WTF!?

What section is the stuff that is NOT covered after the first year/20k? Answer me that then.

You'd be surprised how much I understand lol. Unfortunately it takes you 5 posts to "try" and explain it.

Also, if you took offense to that then you shouldn't be on the internet talking to other people.
