I'm losing my mind!!!!!!
I'm just ITCHING to go to the car wash... last week called for sunny and warm from Sunday-Wednesday. I thought PERFECT!!!! I have a new box of Meguiar's clay and NXT wax just TAUNTING me!!!! And 4 days with a spotless car? Perfect.
Then in rains on Sunday. I figured alright Monday will be fine. It was supposed to rain in the morning and NOW it says it's going to rain during the evening.
And NOWWWW they're calling for rain on Wed all the way through to next Monday.... So I get ONE nice day to do the car tomorrow, only to have it ruined the next day.
THIS IS NOT FAIR!!!!! lol
On top of this, it seems like every time it's supposed to rain and I decide against washing the car, it NEVER ends up raining!!!
What is with the weather these days? Can't win here!
:complain:complain:bang
Anyone else having the same battle lately?? lol
Okay rant over.

i'm thinking that if i hold off on cleaning my black mica long enough, it'll look graphite grey... :) :loco
Gotta say I agree with this. I keep wanted to do a serious wash and vaccuum on my car but the weather has been shyt so I can't do it. My car is filthy right now. It hurts me a little inside... lol

well it's comforting to hear that it's not just Montreal getting this crappy weather. It's been a lot of rain, a lot of cloud coverage and a lot of cool, wet days here in Montreal this summer.
It's been tough on the car washing schedule for sure but it's also been tough on the spirit! Summer is what I look forward to all year...it makes those long winter months worth it...but this summer has been unspectacular to say the least.
At the same time...I do prefer this weather to having 35 degree days where it's too hot to even go outside. At least I am sleeping great with these sub 20 degree temperatures in the evening!
In the end...our lives are still better than 99% of the world and for that I am grateful... :)

Agree wholeheartedly, especially with that one point.....Thought for awhile I was just being negative, glad someone else feels the same.

I park underground, so I don't have to worry about rain. =)
Yes, I'm going to rub it in as much as I can... :chuckle

I feel your pain... My car went almost a whole month (mid June - Mid July) without washing because of the weather & my work schedule!!!
Sigh I don't know when my next wash is... maybe mid August? :(
but IIRC it wasn't as bad as last year.. last summer, there was acid rain EVERY morning that coats my car with dirt when my car was brand new..... Washing the car was hopeless last year, this year I can at least make it stays clean for a few days lol.

If I didn't have an underground parking lot and car wash in my condo as well, I'd be very jealous! :chuckle

Well I think I've defeated mother nature... but not without a fight.
I bit the bullet and ran home to grab the stuff and went to town!!! (My FIRST time claying/waxing!!! With real clay that is...)
The weather stayed immaculate, and I breathed a sigh of relief over my victory hahaha... I just finished wiping down the last window and all of a sudden these tiny little droplets were showing up all over my car!!!
The funny thing is the sky was completely clear, except for this one small cloud. The one cloud that hangs over me and decides to rain... SO RANDOM!!!!! What are the odds????? (Someone is out to get me I swear...)
Anyway I sped off away from the stupid cloud, so now we shall see. hahaha I need this one full day of cleanliness. I worked hard for it :chuckle
(PS thanks again, flagrum, for your help, I couldn't wait though, I couldn't resist the shiny boxes lol, I just had to try it today and had no idea when I'd be in town next... but I think I was successful!!! Next time around we should hold a TM3 claybar meet lol)
-----
And as far as the weather network goes, I swear it's just a bunch of guys hangin around in a back room somewhere flippin a coin to see what forecast they'll announce next. It changes every day, there's just no point in having a system anymore! lol :whoa

I haven't washed my car since Saturday. She's starting to feel neglected. If I wasn't bringing in my car for some warranty work tomorrow, I'd probably be downstairs giving her a wash.

Uh, I feel the same way you do, mazdabetty. It pisses me off because I look at theweathernetwork.com, work out my car wash schedule, and for some reason, as soon as I finish washing it, it rains ! My iPhone weather is not reliable either.
I was planning on washing my car and waxing it yesterday but Agincourt Mazda washed it for me. I would have loved to take it home, give it a quick dusting and wax it, but I had to go to work so now I'm back to square one. No car-washing for me.
I washed my car this morning... Not by hand of course but a touchless is better than nothing, and if it rains well I am parked underground so no biggie.
This weather is BS... wheres the hot sunny days where I can hit up a patio and lay on the beach?? :flaming

Basically this summer can go and suck a weeeeiner.
I'm so pissed off. EVERY FLIPPIN' DAY IT RAINS, even if for a few minutes here or there... the weather was so ridiculous 2 saturdays ago that a Tornado took out our entire neighbourhood hydro poles and damaged houses and cars with falling trees. It's insane...
Where the hell is the sun and the heat waves.
I'm clearly pissed by this summer. it's already the end of July and we have not had a single week of continuous sun, heat and no RAIN.

End Rant.

Ya know what cheeses me off? I washed my car on Saturday morning, then saturday evening, JUST before turning onto my street and into the safety of my garage, it starts raining. When I got to my driveway, it stopped... Just enough to make my car filthy again.

hahahha, yah see that's exactly what I'm talking about....
ugh and yah this is sooooo not beach weather. wtf... didn't it seem like when we were kids it was sunny every single day?? And remember all those fire bans when trying to go camping in high school cuz it had been SOOOOO hot and sunny for like 3 weeks straight?? What happened to the fire ban days??? I want fire ban weather dammit!!!!
The weather network can kiss my arse... the environment canada website at least gets it right 30% of the time, as opposed to -5%...

LMAOOOO !!
Well, I ended up waxing my car today for lack of anything else to do this morning. If it rains, whatever. At least it'll look nice and shiny even for a few hours. Whatever happened to "heat stroke warnings" ? Not that I want anyone to suffer from heat stroke.. but heat stroke warnings usually are accompanied by bright, sunny, and glorious days hhahahaha
