hey
So i been trying to put my new intake in
But im stuck with removing the stock intake. Im at the last part where you need to remove the resonator. But im really stuck and i cant take it off lol.

So i was wondering if i could put the AEM filter with the pressure sensor and not the MAF sensor and drive it til 2moro afternoon when i can take it to my garage.

OR im going to have to put back all of the stock intake.

ORR someone who lives near me can offer some help, for beer or watever you want. I live near McCowan and Sheppard.

But main thing i want to know if its okay to drive without MAF sensor.

DO NOT DRIVE WITHOUT THE MAF. Personally I doubt you would be able to anyway as it will bog a heck of a lot and may even stall.

Did you remove the bumper? It's easy to remove the stock airbox with the bumper off. What are you having trouble with?

yea if i removed the bumper it would really help, im at the lower part of the intake. The car is on jacks thats why i cant access it easily.

But im short on time so i think im going to put back the intake all together and take it to my garage 2moro

So then remove the bumper....? It takes like 15 min max. Get someone to help you lift it off and put it back on.

Why would you pay for someone to install it when you are more than capable of doing it yourself?

I would take the bumper off as it is very easy to do.

Since you have to work tomorrow I would just reinstall the stock airbox at least for tomorrow. You should have waited for a day off to install it just in case lol.

BTW...the only "clips" you have to worry about are the ones on the side where the bumper meets the fender. Even those aren't THAT delicate.

ONE last question, i started the car once with the intake off, i started it to turn the wheel, and i forgot the intake wasnt on. Should i be concerned about anything??

UH WHY!?????????? If you had to turn the wheel just turn it to "ON", but don't start it and manually turn the wheel. It will be more difficult but you wouldn't have had to start the car.

Did you do that before you started posting here? It won't kill the car but it could. If you suck something into the intake it could mess up the motor.

Also you probably threw a code since the MAF wasn't hooked up. I would unhook the (-) terminal for about 10 min and the hook it back up.

Meh it happens. Glad you got everything back together ok. I would spend the time on Sat learning to take the bumper off. It will make things 10x easier.
