I'm sure your MS3 feels the same way. :)

I did
LC 3600
FFS 5500
vehicule Speed 7
other number 4

and it seems to be very good thus far.

did your 1/4 time & trap speed improve?

work as you expect? or did you have to make some driving changes?

I think to improve launch, other factors have to be looked at, such as traction. It's not as simple as setting a RPM...some are reporting even better results when the tone down the "commanded load" right around the LC rpm to improve flat-foot hook-up. I might not get around to using this til Sept...lol..

no, only had LC FFS on saturday when I got my new ATR link. The launch you have to test for yourself, 3600 is my sweet spot and doesnt bog down :)

any adjustments you had to make to your normal driving habits?

I don't use the LC because I would get a TICKET for stunt driving everytime I launch so having it at a low speed keeps it for buggin me. FFS is nice, you don't have to be on WOT to do it, just over 5500rpm and it shifts smoothly.

lol..no no..I don't mean using LC for daily driving...

I meant, are there any instances where having the FFS/LC settings affect daily driving? hanging revs, etc?

nope. if you use my numbers, you'll be fine

Cool...I'll have to try it out this week...

Specifically, this is what I am refering to:

Setting FFS @ 100 rpms below my shift point has worked best for me. Anything lower than that takes too long for the engine to drop to that rpm.

I have been using it for a day or two now also.

LC - 2650RPM
FFS - 5000RPM
Vehicle Speed - 7
Speed Histeresis - 10 (stock flash setting)

I may take the speed histeresis setting down to 4 just to see if there is a difference or not. I notice when on LC the RPM will bounce around 500RPM back and forth, so I don't know if this will help.

Good stuff...I just tweaked 2 versions of the 1.04 map for my car. The first one I left LC/FFS untouched...and I set similar LC/FFS values as you did, but lowered Histeresis to 2. And of course...I screwed up the Rev Limited when I was doing late night tuning...

So I drive out of my garage and I have a 2800 redline...lol...so quickly pulled over and reflashed back to the tweaked 1.04 w/ normal FFS/LC values. All's good for now. Will fix the FFS/LC setting tonight when I get home and maybe test tmr.

BTW...I've read that Histeresis is the amount the needle will bounce, and guys on MSF said that anything over 4, you can get caught out and bog as the rev's swing DOWN (the amount the needle bounce at LC rpm). They recommend setting it to 2, so that the needle doesn't bounce TOO much back and forth.

Keep us posted with your impressions!

you guys don't bog down launching at 2600-2800 rpms?

I'm going to try different RPM's, but laying down a easy number for now. Personally, from my previous experience, anything over 3K I would either spin and then wheelhop or just wheelhop. Since that last time at the strip, I've replaced the rear engine mount, so I might be able to raise it back up after some testing.

Also, I have a feeling that I may need a STREET LC RPM and a track/drag LC RPM for r-comps.

mleblond

true, I guess I only need 1 map. But still you should spin off the line...

Fobio

I don't mind the spin...I need it so that spin doesn't turn into hop...

dude, I'm sitting in your car for a run on Aug 29. =)

I am finding when I use the LC at 2650RPM and the vehicle speed at 7 I am too low. As I get rolling and get over 7km/h and the normal rev limit comes into play the tires start to spin again. It is clean spin since I have the MM, but it still blows away first.

I may fool with a higher LC RPM and a higher vehicle speed and see how it works. Also I am planning to go to Cayuga on Friday night to test this deal out.

I have $50 riding on a race against my friends 335I. Last year we ran stock to stock and he posted 14.0 at 101 versus my 14.3 at 99; despite the fact he roasted 1st gear. This year I have all my mods so I plan to take his $$$.

man...I just got it installed and tweaked today and I was also thinking about test and tune fridays...lol..but prolly can't swing it this wknd...we'll see.

and just to add, I also can't free-rev past the LC Rev Limiter...which is actually OK by me.
