meh... call me a newb.
With a TV tuner on your PC, do you still need Cable input? or can you just get the signal over the net??

You'd still need a cable input. All a TV tuner does is add a coaxial port to the back of your computer and can read the incoming signals.

Exactly....which is easy....then just watch anything you'd normally got on your tv on your comp. Actually even the software back then you could record and watch again.

But what that website is offering, is TV without a TV tuner card.. or a cable subscription. A lot of people would have to run coaxial cable around their houses to do that option. This one lets you do it over an internet connection, which many already have setup and running.

Slight tangent - I have a tv tuner in my PC, but am now looking into a USB OTA HD reciever. Anyone have a preferred brand/model? I'm kinda looking at a Hauppage HVR-1950 which has built-in MPEG2 hardware encoding.
