I was wondering if the brand of CAI that I choose makes a difference. For example, whats the difference between a $100 intake and a fujita f5? Does this difference make it worth putting up an extra 200 bucks for the f5? thanks

I have to say: peace of mind and product quality.

Do your research on these forums. IMO they are all similar. It doesn't need to "look" good, it needs to work properly. I personally like the PRM, but it's also the only one I've tried. Many have tried a few, once they chime in you'll get a better answer.

I went with an AEM intake with their DryFlow filter (means it doesn't need oil when cleaning and servicing). It made a noticeable difference in my high end acceleration, esp in 2nd and 3rd. It did boost my low end, but not that much. Initial take off is much smoother and sounds a lot better. The install was very easy and included very tough clamps.

I've read good things about all the brand CAI (AEM, K&N, Fujita, PRM, Mazdaspeed ) So, just find a good deal somewhere are go with it. Good Luck

I have a fujita f5, its been treating me great, the moment i installed it in, i felt a difference right away and no problems with it. I guess they all do the same thing performance wise basically depends on whether you want a good deal or just straight up product price.

i did make a custom hat on the top of the intake to prevent dripping of water from the hood lines
