we'll just got mine cpe nano short ram and turbosmart dual port compact bov....now i installed both yesterday and i'm wondering what does it mean when your bov is FLUTTERING? what kind of sound does it make when it's fluttering and when does it happen. so far no backfire and the car does not stall....anyone?

there's a PDF on their website that shows you how to adjust.

a little summary: the "adjuster" (the part that you spin) should start @ 1/4 inch from the valve housing...and you make your adjustments from that position. I believe when I had it running 50/50, I made it "Harder" to stop the fluttering.

don't worry...regardless of how you adjust it, you will eventually backfire...lol...if that's the kinda thing you're looking for...and because the sound is so addictive, you will lose mileage by driving it til the BOV pops, every single time you pop off the gas...

I went back to 100% recirc and never looked back. Better for power and gas mileage...

yup! on every board i searched they went back to full recirc....now to make it to full recirc. all i need to do is blocked off the trumpet with the supplied hardware which is the circle thing that came with it right?

the other thing is it safe to run it 50/50? car sounds mean when it's 50/50 with the cpe xcel nano. thanx

50/50 is safe, but 100% recirc is where it's at.

trust me, I miss the sound...but I like my power and $ in my pocket better with the better mileage...I swear I lost about 50km per tank AT LEAST.

I had the same deal. I bought an HKS SSQV which I ran in recirc for a bit. Then I ricered out and ran it Vent to Air for a few months. I liked the sound, but I got some backfiring and noticed the mileage decrease. I was also worried about all the overrich conditions damaging my cat. Now i am back to Recirc and that is fine since with the intake and inlet pipe the BOV still makes a vent to air sound eventhough it is recirced.

I run full recirc in day to day.. and then once in a while will switch to 50/50 for fun. Nothing is stopping you from switching every now and then for fun..HEHE

Running Rich on a MAF engine could really ruin your engine in the long run....
Stay recirculated until you get some kinda fuel management (ie CP-E or Cobb AP) to control the MAF.
