If anyone is out, please becareful... Vaughn and surrounding areas is affected with this tornado alert.

Drive safe everyone.

Yup. One just touched down in Newmarket at Davis and Kennedy Rd. area apparently and another was reported at Bayview and Elgin. Oh joy...

I'll let you guys know if I see Toto, the Wicked Witch of the East, flying monkeys or that little tramp Dorothy flying in the air outside...

It is really dark and bad here as I write this.

DUDE u dont even know i live pinevally and langstaff(woodbridge) and the tornado was right on my freaking door step. holy mother that was intence. driving home getting off the 407 onto pine vally i noticed a funnel cloud just to the west of my and figured wicked. than as i got closer to home i seen the freking tornado no more than 200m away from me. damn did i get inside fast. damn bro my first ever tornado siting. too bad the blackberry pearl vid camera is crap the vid i took looks like its not even raining.

I went to my aunts basement... TOP has a patio party at BP... Man this really sucks for everyone.

Hopefully nothing or no one gets injured...

I'm in scarborough sheppard and kennedy.. when the storm came by here about 20 minutes ago i noticed a very strange fast moving cloud close to the 401.. not sure if it was a tornado but it was a cloud like i never seen before!

The storm is gone in Mississauga. Crazy thunder and lighting going on in the last hour or so. The light of my work building shut few times already, the sky turned grey all of sudden.

My boss lives in Vaughan. He took a pic of one of the tornadoes. He said street lights were knocked down in his area. Also a few people lost the roofs of their homes. Some guys rear bumper was lying in the middle of his street.

was watching CP24 and they had a shot of the Lakeshore at Ontario Place, the road was flooded and most drivers were driving slowly through the deep water, but one A**hole in a white SUV just plowed right through at a high speed splashing cars going in the opposite direction, what a freaking NOOB I am sure he flooded a few cars...NOOB

just though id up date the situation a bit here since my neigbourhood got the biggest hit. roofs are complete gone on some houses, trees are either split in half or totaly out of the ground, cars have been fliped on there side. pretty much woodbirdge is a mess right now.
the weather went from tornado, lighting, hard rain, sunshine and rainbows. mother nature is def playing some tricks with us.
hopefully everyone that was hit by this tornado is ok and i hope to god insurance pays off the damage for there houses/possesions.

Sorry to hear about the destruction..
I love storms and we just enjoyed a great storm in Brampton. I was on the GO train listening to music and I could still hear and *feel* the thunder from inside the train. Parking lot was flooded badly.. the pool of water my car was parked in was up over the tops of my shoes. The streets weren't much better.. today I was glad not to have a CAI!

I was at boxing while this all went on.

The gym started leaking all over the place some parts pretty bad. Go Mississauga parks and rec.

I was sooo lucky!

I had to meet my fam for dinner in Markham, and by the time I left, there was no rain and the sky was lit yellow.

I was nervous too, b/c they said there were claims that twisters were in Newmarket, and I live in Aurora.

During the last storm, 3 power lines fell on Bayview, and a poor lady was stuck in her minivan for hours - because the lines fell on her roof

Glad to hear you're ok. The storm that passed through Newmarket went right over our house yesterday. One minute the rain was almost horizontal and pounding the front of the house, next minute horizontally hitting the back of the house and then the sides after that. I've never seen rain do that before... Anyway, a few minutes later, a tornado touched down on Davis Drive past Kennedy Road. If you know where the horse riding academy is on Davis, drive by and take a look. Apparently the barn is now without a roof and there are trees down too. I'm gonna go by tonight and take some pics.

Yah, I think it was the Wicked Witch of the North who had the house fall on her and had the ruby slippers. I haven't seen the movie in ages and in my aged moment, couldn't remember. :)
