View Full Version : so there's a dent on my car....

yo during the huge storm on thursday i parked my car in my friend driveway and his basketball net fell on my car due to the high winds... so now there's a 3 by 4 inch dent right above the driver side window where the roof cruves down to meet the drivers side door...:flaming:flaming:flaming
will insurance cover for something liek this??? and also do you guys know how much it will cost to fix it... fml

Take it to a dent removal place, dont go through your insurance! Your deductable will be alot more money and I bet they can just pop the dent out!

Be cautious about what shop you get to do this !! I had an acclaimed "custom" professional body shop work on a dent in my passenger side fender and the ****ing idiot made it look worse then it did with the dent in it ! :flaming

He basically took a pick driver and hammered it out. Put a bunch of tiny chips in the paint and looks horrible close up.

You do not want this type of dent removal, so make sure he explains exactly what they are going to do, and exactly what to expect when you get the car back. If it is 1% different then what he said it would be, raise hell (like I did).

Defintely take it to a reputable dent removal specialist. Should be able to fix it pretty easily. I hear that Kevin the Dent Guy does great work but he's pretty busy.

Of course, if you have insurance coverage without the requirement of a deductible, there you go!
