One word: UNBELIEVABLE!

Everyone who has seen it, please post your thoughts on this movie. I saw it last night. I was so tired before going to watch it as I just got home from the cottage, but by the end I was hyper and amped up. The ending is EPIC!!!!!!!!

Everyone clapped and hollered at the end of the movie when the credits rolled.

Brad Pitts performance is also COMPLETELY shadowed by Christoph Waltz who plays Col. Hans Landa. One of the creepiest yet not creepy characters/ performances I've ever seen.

Definitely going to see this again! :hawt:hawt

Agree, amazing movie. From the spaghetti western type credits at the opening you had a feeling it was going to be a good one.

i loved it too, unreal movie. Soooo goory but its neccesary for the movie. If only this were how it actually happened history class may have been way more exciting haha. And i can't believe the detail they showed in the very last scene, my gf had to turn away haha.

The more gore, the better!! And like I said, the last chapter was bloody EPIC - no pun intended :P Okay maybe a little. hahaha

Being German also adds some flair to seeing that movie. lol

two big movies in two weeks
D9 and then this...
for me personally i really really like D9 much much more.

in all fairness they are different movies

i can't say it really blew me away....
part in problem was probably cuz i had diahrea halfway through the movie and was trying to keep it at bay for another 1.5 hours....

in either way
i felt the performances were great by everyone...
the plot i felt sorta wish washy....
wasn't too "engaged" in the story to be honest....
especially since it took 2.5 hours to get from point A to point B... felt there was an overabundance of dialogue for what was a rather... simple plot...

additioanlly i didn't find the scenes to be that gory... there was only really 2 scenes of what i'd consider 'gore'

but overall it was still a good movie

I found the movie pretty amusing with the excessiveness and uselessness of several scenes.

There were several WTF moments too. lol

I had the best weekend I've had in ages!

I saw inglourious basterds on opening night (Friday), saw it again on Saturday, then saw district 9!! Then I met a bunch of TM3 members on Sunday ;)

Great films! God I love Tarantino!! & thank goodness I was smart enough to drive back to Scarborough , went to Amc to avoid the teens (no offense if there are any teens on this site) the theatre was only adults And can you believe it!? No one spoke, threw crap & no cell phones were used! Amazing, eh?
Oh, there was one guy Checking out his blackberry about 10 rows down from me, he sure is lucky he wasn't near me!

To add another view, my husband liked inglourious but was not blown away, yet I loved it!

He felt there was too much dialogue and ran quite long in certain scenes, where as I love the excess in dialogue (typical Tarantino)
we both loved district 9! Mainly b/c we tried to not listen to anyone when they talked about it, the hype can kill it for you-too much expectations!

Great CG in D9!!

I liked it, a bit, but I hated it at the same time.

Of course the goriness of the movie was decent, especially the scene with the german who wanted to die for his country (not gonna say what happened for those who haven't seen it). Characters did a good job in it. I honestly thought before hand (without really reading about it or watching any trailers) that it would be something different but along the lines of a non-fiction Valkyrie but tarantino style.. but overall it was alright

I found a lot of the scenes to go on way longer than what should have been.

It works as a buildup. The bar scene.

Just got home from Famous Players, AMAZING movie!

haha ya i see what you mean about the bar scene.. but it wasn't that scene

*spoilers... do not read if you haven't watched*

i do not agree that there was build up...
1. there was really no point establishing the initial "card" game... between diane kruger with the rest of the germans.... for the amount of time it took... all we needed to really know was that the one guy was a new father... rather than the constant chattering.. beer drinking... etc .etc...etc...
2. only to have them talk again when the brits show up again for another 5 minutes....

what i'm saying is that it was pretty predictable that once the guy from the shadow showed up.. something was gonna happen... cept it took 15 mins to get to that point..... only for every person we spent the last 15 minutes getting to know ends up getting blasted anyways......

other scenes = the long long chatting that took place when they first introduced propoganda director at the lil eatery......
eventually the scene between landa and the girl was GREAT!.... but the 10 mins of talking beforehand was a waste of time...

but it's all about preferences....
i'm usually a big fan of tarantino's dialogue.. but i felt a lot of the scenes had no reason to it.... and bad closure... he decided to take a less direct approach in this movie than he's accustomed to....
i just felt a lot of the characters and plots took detours...

You must have hated Death Proof if you think a 15 minute character buildup was long. :chuckle

Mike Myers needed to be in the movie for a tad longer.

LOL PC!!!!!!!!

He must have hated Death Proof for sure... wasn't it like an hour or more of just bar scene before shit hit the FAN!?

Ahhh Tarantino is about anticipation... you know something is going to happen. but you don't know WHEN. That kills me. I saw it again Tuesday night. :D

I also think I'm in love with HUGOOOO STIEGLITZ aka Til Schweiger. hahahaha

Guess I should warn you about Cineplex at First Markham Place. The guy two seats away from me started fighting the guy directly in front of him (the guy at the top kept kicking the guy's head below, for some strange reason :loco immature bast*rds...) I, of course, told them both "Will you guys PLEASE... shut the F*** up and take your bullsh*t OUTSIDE !? I am trying to watch the goddamn movie that I paid for !" and then it turned into a shouting match between them and everybody in the theatre... I just left and demanded a refund.

So yeah... don't ever go there... crazy kids these days... holy... :flaming:flaming:flaming

you know that annoys me the most...
when effin ppl keep kicking my chair...
theatres aren't tiny lil places nemore
there is a good 3 feet between the end of a chair and the back of my seat

kick me once that's fine
kick me twice... that's understandable
but after that
WTF!!!
do you not realize you're kicking my chair... do you think I don't feel it??

i clearly do not "turn around" and yell at the guy cuz they have the upperhand
i don't want them pouring shiet on my head or actually kicking me physically but i seriously want to turn around and grab some of these ppl by the shirt and throw em down 4 aisles so they learn their lesson

how effin inconsiderate are ppl
i can't remember the last time i HAVENT been kicked

i've even had ppl REST their shoes on the back of my seat before.....

You've got some Cinema Rage there Kid

But it's completely understandable. I hate it when ppl talk during the movie..and when ppl talk during the movie and I can hear it..it's pretty bad seeing that I wear hearing aids.
