Just picked up my 2010 M3 Sport on Saturday. Had the headlamp control on Auto, and when I got in the car around 7:00PM tonight (when it was still quite light out), the gauges were very dark (i.e. night mode where illumination is turned way down), so I flipped the headlamp control to Off, and the gauges lit up (daytime mode). I tried it several times with the same result.
I read in the manual that the light sensor is in the same place as the rain sensing wipers. I did mount my 407 transponder just below (1/2") the rain/light sensor, but I assume the light sensor is facing outside the windshield.
Anyone experience this with the Auto headlamp setting? The manual indicates the sensitivity can be adjusted by Mazda dealer only.
Thanks
