Hi guys,

Earlier this week, I had a CEL go off in my '07 Speed. Checked the AccessPort and it gave me a U2064 code while driving on the highway (there is no explanation as to what a 2064 code is on the AccessPort). I was watching KR the entire way and it was at 0, had a look at the LTFTs; +30% (wow). Meanwhile, the car felt like it was running fine.

Anyways, I shut down the car and started it up roughly 2 hours later. Checked the LTFTs again. They were back at +/- 5% (I didn't do anything to the car in the mean time). Didn't think much of it so I cleared the code and kept driving. The next day, it came back. LTFTs are still at +/- 5%.

I'm at a loss. I have no idea what's up though I feel like I should check for boost leaks. Should I look into replacing the spark plugs? My engine has 35K KM on it on the originals.

Has anyone had this happen?

Dave

Just read this from phillyb on MSF.org

you're the 6th person with ap throw u2064. i think that code means there are other codes, but the ecu for some reason can't see them.
if you look here - Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) U2064 Definition - it says that for mazdas - Warning Indicator Requested by Another Control Module...
so something is trying to send a code, but something, perhaps the ap itself, it interrupting that code.
off the top of the dome, the others i can recall are bio, corbs, and superv

I'm on a Stage 2 +SF v1.05 map. From what I understand, the CEL that gets thrown as a result of an aftermarket downpipe was permanently defeated. Maybe it has to do with that?

I get the same U2064 code at random intervals a couple times a month also. It is a code that says the ECU is trying to communicate a code. It must be because Cobb defeated the pre-cat warmup code. You can just ignore it and erase it with the AP.

Yeah I just wipe it off when it happens but it is kinda annoying.
