Sooo, DJ AM died... crack pipe and persrciption drugs found with him. Naturally another celeb down for the count for illegal drugs.
Anyways, I've always heard of the infamous DJ AM - so I just downloaded some live sets - he's pretty meh so far to me. I dunno, maybe the stuff I downloaded isn't that great??? If anyone has some stuff by him I should hear. Please pass it my way.

Wow... I am very surprised. I remember after that plane crash he survived with Travis Barker he talked about how he was given a second chance at life etc. Sad sad

People are wondering if it was something similiar to "Final Destination"
Oddly enough, that movie came out the day he was found

From Perez
Didnt he also date Mandy Moore?
Sources believe DJ AM (http://perezhilton.com/category/dj-am")'s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Hayley Wood, coupled with the post-traumatic stress from his September '08 plane crash may have triggered the former addict to use.
AM was said (http://www.tmz.com/2009/08/28/dj-am-devastated-over-recent-breakup-with-gf/#comments) to be "completely devastated" when Wood ended the relationship last week.
The DJ was sober for nine years before being found (http://perezhilton.com/2009-08-28-rip-301) in his NY apartment from an alleged overdose on Friday afternoon, which goes to show how incredibly harrowing a disease addiction is.
Our thoughts continue to go out to AM's family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

It is sad, I read this though and wasn't sure what to think.
In October, MTV was to debut his reality show, "Gone Too Far," in which he and concerned families staged interventions for drug abusers. In a recent AP interview, he talked about holding a crack pipe for the first time in years for the show and said he felt as though he had an angel on his shoulder for surviving so much turmoil.
"There's no better way to remember what it was like when I was at my bottom than to see someone at their bottom," he told the AP.
MTV did not have an immediate comment on whether Goldstein's show would air, but said in a statement that it "was honoured to support him as he helped young people battle their own addictions."

Ya that was good.
It's easy to say after being given a second chance why did he throw his life away but surviving something like that could really do a number on you mentally.
