Here is my story... I must be blunt and rude:bang

Reported by : Towlsnap

Once arriving at my Tim Hortons before work and ordering my usual large Double Double.... I was shocked at the total... WHAT .... $1.52 for a large... since when.. I'm use to the $1.45 .....

So.... as I drove to work... thinking to myself.... doesn't it only cost rougly 15cents to make a coffee from home? lol

Just curious if it's just Kingston with the raised prices or is T.O hit with this pandemic as well :chuckle

**UPDATE*** as of 0300hrs today my supervisor did buy a large delta delta for $1.45...... I'm not mad Tim Hortons .. I just want my $0.07 cents back lol ***

I saw a while ago when I went to timmys prob about a month. They had a notice on a wall saying due to food price increases that their increasing as of Aug 31 or Sept 1.

It's $1.58 in Toronto, but I think it's cheaper in Mississauga... Haven't bought a coffee around home yet though with the new prices. Just in Toronto.

Sucks, $1.58 for a consistently screwed up coffee. They're catching up to the Bucks in pricing!!

I always get thrown off when I buy Tims in Toronto and then tims in Belleville or Kingston.....the prices are always different.

Sucks that it varies by location....should be one price across the board. I mean really, do the people of Kingston have to pay a couple of cents less then we do in the GTA? :p

Ya, coffee is now $1.58 for a large......a $0.09 increase? Reeeedonkulous........
But im a junkie so no matter how much my dealer jacks up their prices, Im there every morning jonsing for mah fix!

I don't even notice the price anymore... usually I pay $1.49 and i'm pretty sure I always pay that... but then again... I just give a toonie and throw the change in that donation thing.

HAHAHAHAHA wow, I hated those things when I worked at timmies way back in the day. All the fatties that worked there used to eat them as sandwhich buns because the little buns just "didn't satisfy" *Barf*

There was also one chick who used to make a "salad" with a giant mixing bowl. She's put all this yummy lettuce and veggies in it, THEN TOP IT OFF WITH like 3 scoops of chili and cheese slices.

To All My Fellow Tim Horton's Addicts:

If you are like me and order a large double-double every morning before work, you should be aware of how much your addiction is costing you. At $1.58/day, with an average of 21 working days per month, the annual expense to feed my coffee habit is $398.16. I figured that out this week and have since started brewing coffee at work.

Note: The 21 working days per month is the average work days per month excl. stat holidays only. You can adjust this figure according to how many vacation and sick days you use per month. But don't forget to add in any afternoon, evening, or weekend purchases you may make.

Just a little food for thought! :P

Just go to McDonald's: small coffee (same as tim's medium) and a muffin for $1.39. Can't beat that! Especially when the coffee and muffin are both better than Tim's. Not to mention you don't have to wait in line at McDonald's as long.

I hear McDonalds coffee is actually of higher grade but it just never sank in because...it's McDonalds. I'm going to get a coffee from McDee's tomorrow and compare. Do they also line the cups with heroin? :chuckle

@ PCLoadLetter:

Did you know that myth was so prevalent, that there was one of those news shows that actually did a study on this? They compared Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and, I believe, a Second Cup. I'll leave it to everyone to search for the results, I believe I had youtubed them before but it is far too late for me to try and do it tonight.

Anyway, how funny is it that this myth became soooo popular that an actual study was done on this.

@ Gizzmo_jr:

Two coffee's in one day??? :o Maybe I should post some nutritional info regarding coffee. Of course then again... sometimes ignorance is bliss! :P

I guess... but there are only a few things in life that when you've lost them, you'll never get back.

1) Time
2) Your reputation
3) Your health

I'd rather have a cup or two of timmies instead of having a cancer stick that's forsure. Smoking is more expensive anyways :chuckle

Your points are absolutely right and I couldn't agree more.

But I'd rather have say 70 years of doing what I like rather then doing all this work to stay healthy just to live an extra 10 - 20 years. I'd rather live a shorter live that I enjoyed then attempt to draw it out just for the sake of drawing it out.

That also depends on where you work.

Here in the financial district, the line up for McDonalds is often longer then the line up for Tims!

And when Mcdonalds sends those "2 can dine for $X.XX" coupons out - the line doubles!

But, for $1.39 for a coffee with a muffin, I should check their coffee out.
Any other Tim junkies try McDonalds coffee? Whats the compare?
