Hi Guys ,

I think a couple of people have had similar issues... mine has always jerked from 1st-2nd, and more recently a slight jerk in 2nd-3rd. I got used to it tho... I find if i step on the gas a little it's less noticeable...

maybe someone else can chime in as to whether it's something that sound be fixed under the drivetrain warranty?... you definitely aren't alone on that one tho.

I had the issue in the past. I had the dealer flash the PCM, and it was updated and went back to learning mode. All was well. Not sure about the warranty piece though..

if he has an 08.5 would that not fall under the 3yr 80k warranty....or would they put this under their 1 yr 20k warranty for adjustments and such like that? I know I had the problem of the shift shock and got MOT to do the flash update....but I was within my first yr and under 20k...

not sure what it stands for honestly. It just says on the invoice PCM flash. It's essentially a software upgrade for the auto transmission.

I think that's what I had done.... it was fine for a bit but it's back again. Try it anyway tho.... and you don't have to be under the 1yr 20k (or 3yr) either.

I have an 05 auto and when I go from 4th to 3rd (sport mode) I get a bit of a vibration. Dealer said all was normal as all they did was check the fluid level and its colour. Had the PMC reflashed was OK for a while but returned, also the morning shift shock was eliminated but returned. Dealer will tell you its normal unless the vibration-jerking is very bad.

just make sure the computer programming all gets updated to the latest... and if its still happening, try to change the fluid out first then go from there

if the pcm update doesn't solve the problem I've had luck with clearing the KAM (keep alive memory). negative battery terminal disconnect for a few minutes and reconnect. usually I do this when the rpm fluctuates on deceleration. feels like transmission but it's not. happens at the same rpm every time.

Ahhh, all this computer crap lol. I had the same problem, then it went away after I went for a service at the dealer. I guess they upgraded mines as well.

they did it for free (part of the warranty), if you have no warranty they charge you $40 .

I don't have warranty and it was free for me... (well i have the 5 year still but not the main 3 year one...)

And it didn't help... I still get the jerking. And I've had a flush. Also didn't help (well it felt like it did for the first month or so...)

uhh... if you're using manual mode, it's going to jerk on downshift no matter what! it's called lack of rev matching!

i get the jerking from 3rd to 4th. i don't feel it if I ease off on the gas before it shifts. wondering of disconnecting the batt for a few minutes will help

update: disconnecting the batt and having the computer reset itself fixed it for me... tried stepping on it to see if it jerks when it shifts... smooth as new now :)

oh god, why are you still driving with that crap in there? you should've changed it at 50k!
that answers a lot about your shifting issues!
