Hello!

A little late joining the forum as I am currently enjoying my '09 Mazda3 GX since December. All I can say is that I made the right choice, which doesn't happen a lot in my experience.

Big thanks to Jeff from MoT for making the deal go as smoothly as possible, though there were a couple of bumps along the way due to me forgetting to bring a void cheque. :loco

I guess the main reason I am posting is I am a Technical Illustrator currently doing some personal pieces for my portfolio. Specifically, I want to create a phantom illustration of my Mazda3 similar to the works of Hulsey and Kimble, as well as a 3D model using Maya.

I was wondering where I could get my hands on blueprints, orthographic projections, or any other references specifically on the engine, suspension and braking system of a Mazda3. I already have enough references of the body including a 1/18 diecast model from ebay, but references for the interior are harder to come by and I don't think its worth dismantling my car just for that.

Anyway, the people on this forum have been and will be a great resource and I hope to contribute from time to time.

Thanks,
Steve

Hm, that is a tough request. Yeah do a search, dont' forget that some racing video games could have cool artwork and drawings of the car. Just a thought.
