Hey Guys.

I could use your help and opinions.
So today I had my oil changed, usual synthetic. And since I was there I figured I could have my injectors flushed/purged and my power steering flushed. I have never had this done before, or at least i dont remember having it ever done.
The 3 now has about 108000kms on it now.

Car picks up well and seems pretty smooth, BUT i do notice when im coasting it bounces.
It only happens as I let off the gas and let the rpm's drop to about to 1000... usually in forth. Then the car will bounce to 1500 then drop back to 1000.

Happens about 3 times, then sticks at 1500rpm.
Its driving me crazy and i wanna make sure something isn't messed up.

BTW, its an 04 GT with an auto tranny

If it were a manual, I would say it sounds like a dirty throttle body. That is usually the cause of throttle sticking. With an automatic, could be any number of things. If it is the throttle bosy, they can try cleaning it to see if that helps things.

There are a couple of Mazda techs on here with more knowledge in these matters than I, so hopefully they, or another of the more technically astute posters will also chime in here.

thanks for the input.
but could it just happen just like that? I've only had it start doing this after the oil change and injector flush.

Maybe the plugs? check the plugs... It's an 04 and if the plugs haven't been changed, it may be time to do it. Very easy to do yourself.

Problem solved for now... It will probably come back. Although, for your sake, I really hope it doesn't. Good luck.
