Since the new update, BBM got group functions now and I wanted to try this BARCODE scanning ability!

So I created a group for TM3.

now scan the BARCODE!

but like nitsuji said, you can also scan it directly from your BB if you have 5.0. Just go to ADD contact, then it gives you 4 options to choose from. You'll wanna scan code that someone has given you, your cam pops up and then just align it, and then it will add.

anyone able to get a blackberry bold 9000 working with the bluetooth on a 2010 Mazda 3?
I am only able to use the calling feature, but I have to disable all the audio streaming features ..... otherwise, the phone will just keep trying to connect and disconnect and keep doing that like an endless loop .... and nothing will work.
I am running 5.0.0.681 on my 9000.
I tried with my wife Sony phone, and both phone and streaming audio are working fine. So, it looks to be a compatibility issue.

just for clarification..the free case was offered cuz like 2 ppl had antenna probs..lmao...the media went to town..to b honest..if you have a "smartphone" and dont use it to its full potential then u might as well buy a disposable txt phone. If your someone that is constantly,e-mailing,editing photos,making calls,taking pics, and using music on the go, iphones for you..if you do the comparison you'll find iphone interface alot smoother,quicker,and sharper..there is deff some good competition but lets b honest most ppl buy blackberrys for free bbm..they dont use there phone to the potential.. I LOVE HATERS!

I disagree. It really depends on use cases. For people who play games and media on their phone most of the time and don't type much, iPhone make prefect sense. But for those of us who use the phone mainly for email/messaging/etc .... Blackberry is way way better. I have the Blackberry Torch and I like the fact that it has the best of both world (Touch screen and Physical keyboard).

If I have to pick between a Blackberry 9000/9700 and an iPhone, I will probably opt for the iPhone just bcoz of the cool factor.... and be ready to get really frustrated typing with the virtual keyboard. But adding Blackberry Torch to the mix, there is no way I will opt for an iPhone. The Torch2 is going to be even better.... looking forward to upgrade to that.
