Well I hit the 8000 km mark on my 2010 Mazda 3 so I brought it into the dealership I bought it from today which was Burlington Mazda.
So far I didn't notice any issues with the service....no marks on the interior from dirty hands, no marks on the exterior or in the engine compartment...looks like a nice clean job.
Only thing I wished I got was a car wash....do dealers still do that now a days after service....guess not eh.
Ended up getting oil changed and tire rotation....$70 bux basically, I assume that's the normal rate? would of been cheaper if I didn't bother with the tire rotation.
I didn't find any issues why I wouldn't go back there for service but since I am in Hamilton it would be closer for me to just go to Select Mazda, at this rate it's just preference now on where to go...
I give Burlington Mazda two thumbs up for service so far. :winner

Mavr1ck,
I have never dealt personally with Burlington Mazda but I have dealt with Select. I really like the guys at Select. They are very personable and will answer any questions you may have at any point. Plus Select (and Mountain) honour our TM3 discount- Burlington doesn't. (You don't get discounts on regular service intervals though). I took my car to Select for its 8000km oil change with no issues.
That being said, if you want a car wash and a dealership who pulls out all the stops for you and your car it's got to be Oakville Mazda. Trust me when I say it's worth the drive to Oakville.
I have taken my car there for its 16000 and 24000 just recently and the service has been top notch. On recommendation from the OWNER (yes the owner talks to customers at Oakville- and he's a wonderful person to spend time with) I switched to synthetic oil at my 16000km service. I brought oil bought from Canadian Tire and they installed it with no issue.
Also, I received TM3 discount on my 24000km service as they like to give you that on your "big" service intervals.
Plus they will wash your car for you.
It's nice to be on first name basis with not only the service manager, the service people, the parts manager, the general sales manager and the owner himself. What a great group of people they are.
And their freshly baked cookies are always a hit!

Tire rotation doesn't seem to make sense as of now since its only 8000km but since you did it whatever....and plus its October people would be preparing for winter tires already lol. Tire rotation is pretty much unnecessary if you have another set for winter, since its done when you swap from season to season.

Yes I agree I could of went without the tire rotation...but since it was it's first service...I basically gave in to whatever they recommended. I'll think twice next time...but then again...I drive and drive a lot....only took me 3 months to put 8000kms on it, tires are gonna see a lot of wear and tear from my driving.
I will probably give Select Mazda a shot next time on service and compare..if it's basically the same..I probably go there since they are very close to where I live.

I had the same situation as you. As I was in the shuttle back from MOT I realized that I was putting on my winters in a month so why rotate the tires, so I called Vincent right away and he said no problem. When I went to pay the bill included the rotation (which was done), which Vincent quickly had removed.
