We will receive mail regarding this if we are affected, correct?

I remember when my 07 Civic got recalled, because they said the wheel could come flying off LMAO

As far as i know, you'll only receive a notice if you are the original owner of the car. For whatever reason, car companies dont send out Recall notices to people who buy the car used from person X. IE: private sale from Autotrader for example.

^ Not true, I received a recall notice on my 99 Cavalier, I was not the original owner, nor did I buy it from GM. If its a safety issue, they use the VIN to get your info (I believe, not 100% sure there).

wow, ok. my mom bought a RAV4 from a used car dealer. She was never notified from toyota about the recall. The result --> the tranny went. AFter arguing on the phone with Toyota of Canada, she eventually got paid back in full. However, Toyota never gave a reason as to why she wanst contacted.

I am the original owner of the car. It's a 2010, not too many used ones yet xP

I'm the orginal owner of my 2010 M3 GS and never got a recall notice on the lights. To my understanding the wiring harness only affected the first few months of production of the 2010. Mine was built in May. On my 1st service, next month, I'm going to ask about the recalls. Thanks guys for the info!!
