View Full Version : Dyno Tomorrow
I'm heading out to Forrest & Forrest Racing tomorrow to do a dyno run. If anyone is interested in tagging along, PM me... It's actually a Toyota Matrix meet that I'm crashing. They have the dyno from 1pm to 5pm. Limited number of spots if you want to come along...

I've got a toonie that says you should hit about 250+whp... =)
DaSilva sounds like something closer to Big Dad and me...hopefully we can put something together before he stores the beast for the winter.
LOL I better be over 250! I think I did 250whp stock (With snow on the IC!).
I guess you may be right though. :) Without snow to cool the IC, I did 231whp. That was before my intake, inlet and AP (93+oct tune). At the very least, I'll see big number gains after 5500 like that other member did. =)
You gotta setup that liquid IC GB ;)
Edit: I hope my AP doesn't break the dyno results. Can you imagine the look on my face when I try to tell the Toyota guys that my AP is responsible for poor numbers?

forrest and forrest is a good shop. Whitespeed3 and I went out to their old location a few years ago and put down about 270whp and 290tq (MS CAI and CPE TBE for me, intake and TXS FMIC and MP back for whitespeed3).
say hi to the mo crew for me
LOL good point. ;)
BTW for anyone that is thinking of joining. F&F Racing has moved. They are now located at:
Forrest & Forrest Racing
60 Melair Drive Ss 1
Ayr, ON N0B 1E0

Nice numbers... I took my Probe GT there last year sometime. Great shop. Did you have your AP at that time? (Trying to see if they'll have trouble reading my car)
I'll let all the trix owners know you said hi ;)

Enclosed is my dyno sheet (ms cai, cpe tbe)... didn't have the FMIC or AP at this time. I think this shop will be fine for reading the ap

didn't see the price, but the last two times i went it worked out less than $40 a car and you got several pulls in
Cost is $40 cash from my understanding.

it is a nice drive, and the weather looks perfect for making big numbers. If i still had my ms3 i'd go get some fresh sunoco 94 with maybe an octane booster followed by some hard driving to get the ECU trained for flogging vs. economy :chuckle
have fun

Nice seeing you again, Jerry!
The nice guys from the Matrix club let me on the dyno for free after everyone else had ran. They had a spare 30 minutes at the end.
I ended up getting 240whp and 242wtq with only a catback. I would have thought tq would be ~20 more than what I got, but oh well.

CBE is more of an HP mod than tq. tq. comes from the Dp and hi-flow cats so that shows your gained mostly 10whp or so over stock from your cbe and tq. maybe a few.
Jerry, what did you put down? any troubles with the ap reading?
Dude it was a blast. =) Even though traffic sucked ass on the way home.
UU: No issues with the AP at all. My best run was 258.7 whp / 279.0 wtq. My car was moving around on the dyno, I have a feeling my dragging brakes (which Jimmy is rebuilding tomorrow), were causing me to move around... Which hopefully might translate to better gains after I get the brakes fixed. :chuckle
Old run (with ice): 251.98 / 269.33 (Completely stock)
Today (with water mist): 258.7 / 279.0 (SRI/IP/AP)

Lol, you don't even know the half of it. You at least got to leave at Mississauga rd. I got off at Warden and the traffic was stop and go until Leslie. My gas tank is past empty now, but I was too tired and hungry to fill it.
On my way home I remembered that I didn't even have any breakfast or food/drink all day. Only ate when I got home around 7:15.
LOL that does suck man... But hey, at least you got a free dyno out of it. =) Those Matrix owners are alright!
