Does anyone know a good place to buy cheap brand name frames, such as Prada, D&G, Versace etc etc. I was *thinking* Pacific Mall... but I'm not really sure they're super cheap?

I need to get new glasses, yes I'm a nerd. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Why not just get laser surgery ? :) I did 5 years ago and haven't looked back! Not sure if your near sighted or far sighted though. And I know of a pretty good place in Mississauaga for glasses (prescription or sunglasses) and the owner has always cut me great deals before. Also if you have benefits at work they will write up your "sunglasses" as prescription! Not bad at all! Pm if interested

Try Noble Optical at P-Mall, nice people to deal with and decent selection for designer frames.

i go to pmall =P jus be careful they can be fake!

the only thing I don't like about clearly contacts is you can't try them on and they glasses might look good but when you wear it.. you don't look good in it

Noble sells legit DKNY frames (at least when I bought mine a couple years back) as the DKNY rep was actually there when I went to go select mine and got talking to him. Things might have changed since but just giving you my experience.

Although the frames aren't that cheap, they have great customer service.

Ivan's @ FMP has a very good selection. Also never had a problem with work insurance.

FMP = First Markham Place

I've also heard that Costco is great for contacts.

Yeah, make sure the logo is authentic - D&G not D&C, or Prada and not Prado. :chuckle

That's where I went!

I got a set of Hugo Boss frames there..... but they're starting to turn white!? Sorta makes me wonder if they're real or not. :(

But yeah, their customer service was great!

you guys are amazing, gave me some great sites! I think I might go with these ones: https://www.clearlycontacts.ca/glasses/frames/kam-dhillon-3014-chocoholic/prod23047.html

first off, they are called chocoholic, secondly they have cat/tiger print on the inside.. uhm. LOVE. If only I had my legit perscription, I'd take advantage of the 50% off. *tear* oh well, still fully covered under my health plan, plus I can get contacts!! They're not to scale, so deal with it.

my eyes need a rest. I wear contacts everyday for at least 18 hours a day... it's nice to be able to take them out and still be able to see!!

Glasses or no glasses you look good anyway, did you photoshop those on yourself? If so that's dedication. I just pulled the trigger and hoped for the best lol.

I hear that... they had to switch me to silicone lenses recently cuz I wear them too much. Not good for the eyes that's for sure. Cute frames though! I like them, go for it! Now I wanna get a pair... haha

Wow 18 hours a day? Yeah that's alot...there's nothing like taking off your contacts at the end of the day and feeling like your eyes can breath! I can totally relate to you.

from a guy who knows a lot about contact lens, soft and hard... i say they are great for the mobility and freedom that you dont get with glasses. But beware that your increase the chances of eye infections if you dont watch your hands and also put more strain on your eyes.

But technology has improved a lot in recent years, you can get lens that are extremely breathable for longer wear periods. Although they still recommend 8 hours. Pfft who really wears contacts for 8 hours.

I can't even wear contacts...maybe 1-2 hours at most. I have dry eyes, and have one eye with a significantly strong prescription. My sisters both live in their contacts, and both have had eye infections in the past.

I used to wear contacts in school 8-10 hours a day, even with dry eyes. Only problem is, I developed an issue with my eye twitching uncontrollably, non-stop. Turns out, the contacts don't allow my eyes to breathe properly, causing the twitching.

clearlycontacts is an awesome site.

I know so many people who have had infections mostly its not clean and they sleep in their contacts.

I say a long day 12 hours..is healthy. More? Probably not so much. But its really keeping everything clean... as possible.

Well thankfully I have never had an eye infection in the 7 or so years I've been wearing contacts. *knocks on wood*

Very true, I've gone thru it and it sucks. Years ago I scratched my eye and I couldn't see for almost a week...it was pretty bad but lucky it wasn't too severe.

Crystal, any other frames you have in mind? (just cause I liked how you did it the first time but I'm sure there's others that may fit/look better)
