I'm not surprised, considering alot of people might be looking to pre book and pre buy their caskets before the HST kicks in.

It was on the news as well, that there is a rush of people buying caskets and plots in cemetaries prior to the roll out of HST, the government has made it clear funeral costs will not be exempt

But Justin.. why the hell were you looking for caskets int he first place? lol

I wonder if i can pick it up locally and get a carry out done haha

LOL i wasn't looking for caskets, i found the link on another site. I don't think it's in Canada since it's not walmart.ca but weird none the less.

What's even funnier is that it's in the "For The Home" section.

I like how the first one is the extra-wide model... somehow that just seems right for Wal-Mart!

Costco in the usa sells caskets (http://www.costco.com/Common/Category.aspx?cat=20595&eCat=BC|20595&lang=en-US&whse=BC&topnav=), and has been for a while now...a joke of it was made in the movie "Employee of the Month", which was filmed in a Costco.

I like the fact that I can save some money if I ever need a discounted casket...but I'd find it difficult wheeling through the store with some toilet paper and a casket.

One of the caskets has a rating. I wonder how that works...

"I buried my husband in it last week. He died of a heart attack. But the casket I bought from Wal-mart was great! 5/5"

I forget to check....did any of the caskets have any "user reviews"?

What's the return policy?

If you're not satisfied with the product, bring it back within 30 days and you get your money back.

Or you could exchange it for a casket with equal or lesser value.

Don't they sell guns and ammo at Walmart in the southern part of the US too?

Kinda self-serving isn't it? One stop shop for death and violence, whether natural, intentional or accidental.

Buy ahead of time, where do you store it? Will a funeral home allow you to bring your own casket?
