Was driving between my house and my neighbours house the other day and a small pipe was hanging off my neighbours house that gouged a pretty ugly mark in my bumper and front fender (it was dark and raining so I didn't notice it). Unfortunately for me this means that in the interest of neighbour relations I'm paying for half (such an unjust world!).
Took her to Gyro Mazda body guy (Mike) for a quote and he came back at almost the same price as a local body shop so I decided to go with Gyro since they presumably have more experience with Mazdas.
I also had them take care of a few other scratches I had going (me in a parking garage & the wife's ding).
Got the car back in 3 days and the quality of work was excellent. I've looked at the areas in question from all angles and can't notice anything out of order. Colouration looks good and clear coat looks good. Price was as quoted.
This was my first experience at Gyro and two small things pissed me off a bit:
1. When I dropped my car off I wanted to get a shuttle ride to Pape Station (+/-7 minutes away) and the shuttle guy was taking two people ridiculously far North and wasn't going to be back at the dealer for 45 minutes to take me South! WTF? I asked the receptionist if they could help me out and she just shrugged her shoulders. I had to catch a cab.
2. When I got my car back Gyro had surreptitiously installed a Gyro license plate cover on my front plate! I am not a rolling billboard, thank you very much, and I was effing pissed that they did this without my permission. I asked the service rep if he could please remove it so they could reuse the cover but was brushed off.
All in all, I'm happy with the body work (which is the more important bit here) but am a little miffed with the customer service experience.
