Its just a line up for people to get their copy "first" so they can go home and play. Doesn't really matter if you have a pre-order, you'll get your copy, it's just the "Zomg I have mine before you" thing.

The budget for most games like this for the next gen systems are around $20 Million. However, Activision was throwing tons of money at Infinity Ward which they didn't ask for. Everyone knows this game is going to be huge. 13million+ units sold of Modern Warfare. Each DLC package brings in $40-50 Million on top of the original unit. Huge cash cow.

Activison is raking in the dough with the Call of Duty/Modern Warfare series, as well as Guitar/DJ Hero and World of Warcraft (since they old Blizzard).

well stuck at work and can easily admit ... I'm addict to cod mw2... but for all PS3 Owners who have the same issue when you get the 1.01 patch 15mb for Codmw2 here is your answer :

So, you’ve bagged your super cheap copy of the years most expensive game? If you’re signed in to the PSN when you boot the game up there will be a patch ready for you to download. This 1.01 patch was just a bug fix but unfortunately it has introduced another bug where Trophies aren’t being awarded.

There are rumours that re-booting your PS3, ejecting the game disk, even deleting the 1.01 patch will bring Trophies back, I’ve tried all them and none of them worked for me. Infinity Ward however have posted on NeoGAF that they have fixed the Trophy issue and the patch will be available as soon as they can get it to us.

So everything should work after this
