Hello guys,
here are some pics of the job we've done on this weekend, one day for the roof and another one for the hood. It took as, me and my dad, a 4 hours intallation for each one... The hood came out a lot better because we gained some experience with the roof but the roof still looking good anyways.
The rest of the job coming the next week end, spoiler, trunk door, left and right sides and the mirrors :)

Looks good but im thinking you should vinyl the grill too. It looks a bit weird to me I will leave the top of the grill white and the 2 little little bars beside the mazda logo will be black and all around the grill will be black, in other words the bumper will be black.
Thank you!

It's Russian. I was just telling vartdirector that the vinyl on his car looks pretty sick and I was asking him where he was from in Ukraine.

I think that's the car I saw cutting off trucks and nearly clipping my bumper on the 427S

In the mazda sighting thread it was confirmed that it was the car..user name tripas or something like that.

Thanks for the positive replies... Well believe it or not but i'm trying to make something similar to my car too, like the picture you posted. But, with some custom set-up and my own company name logo on the hood, not too big, visible enough.
Reworking on the car this week-end maybe, before it gets cold here in Montreal, cause right now it's about 0 or -4.

+1 on the wet application with heat. It made putting mine on SO MUCH EASIER! especially in the grille area. If you need a hand with it, I'd be more than willing to help out. You can partially see mine in my sig.

what accent colours do you have on your car? I know the car is white, and you will have gold rims. But do you have the calipers done? Anything on the interior? And also what exactly do you want to be covered in vinyl?
McGuyver_3
12-05-2009, 02:05 AM
I am planning on doing a custom leather interior soon a whitish black interior calipers are not done but if i do them i probably would go black and i pretty much want the upper half of the car to be done in vinyl but not sure on colour the white with black is overplayed blue is to close grey meh i dunno lol
craigrodrigues88
12-06-2009, 08:18 PM
hm, well if your theme is white and black why not stick with that? If you start adding other colours then it will all just look out of place. Grey might look pretty good as long as the shade is right, and I would suggest red if you weren't planning on doing so much of the car. Either way, when you decide to get it done I wouldn't mind helping you out. You can come check out my car if you want to see what it looks like..

For a white sedan, is cool to do some black and gold color matches, very little details for the exterior... I will see what i can do with some photoshop...
Can you send me an image for reference of you car, side + front?
Thank dude!
craigrodrigues88
12-08-2009, 07:04 PM
I noticed you said in the other thread that you weren't feeling the look of the red too much if you don't like that I would either go for the 2nd blue option if you want it to stand out. Or if you want something a bit more subtle with a classier, maybe more aggressive look I would keep your rims the same colour and get a vinyl to match the rims
McGuyver_3
12-08-2009, 07:45 PM
yeah the red was a little to bright but we will see what happens in spring. The place i took my rims to get done they do not have a proper gunmetal colour i was not to impressed with the sample hence my reasoning for gold bronze
craigrodrigues88
12-08-2009, 07:47 PM
aren't your rims already gunmetal though?

Hello guys, sorry for the delay... for the moment i finished the hood, the roof, the spoiler and that's it. Paused my project for a little time because of the weather here in Quebec and because i was on vacation and i went to Cuba for a week on holidays... So i'm thinking to go back to the garage and keep working on it in maybe 2 weeks... but i already did some other mods, like HID 6000K 55W kit, yellow nokia high beams and fogs, strut bar, short shifter, etc...
I will post more pics soon, i will do a new thread with all the close ups and maybe a video of the car too, cause now i have a Sony HD camera!
Cheers
