so i decided to paint my stock rims before intalling my winter tires...

after painting them i like them better then my aftermarket rims lol...

thanks i think it makes it look less bling bling and more stealth!

That looks sick man. I'm thinking about doing that to my stock 16". What paint did you use?

EDIT: More specifically how you painted the center cap.

i used dupli color engine paint lol

love the rims .... will be honest more of a fan of the new painted stock ones :) are your calipers painted grey or unpainted?

EDIT: More specifically how you painted the center cap.

i took the caps off and took the mazda logo off too then sanded primed, paint, clear...

it took me about 2 hours to sand and about 2h to prime paint and clear...

my calipers are painted black but they have been painted a long time ago...

looks great! last week i was thinking about how it would look, but i wasn't really able to find a back car with the black stock rims....now i need to wonder no more. I know what i am going to be doing this winter!!

LOOKS like my car =P tint those side markers and you are all good to go.

Looks great for a DIY! Love the look. I'm doing the same with my speed6. And with the above comment, I fully agree! Tint that side marker so it doesnt stand out like a sore thumb. Remove those plastic side moldings and your ride will look completely different. :)

nice job! cheaper & easy way to make your car look attractive! :)
