They will work in either. Or at least should. There isn't any difference between them (stereo wise).

Price seems nice, but I have never heard of this brand. Just remember, with car audio, you pay for what you get. I doubt this would last long. I'd suggest you save your money and buy it right the first time.

I think Selective Sound has a proper one. Yes, its more expensive, but the brand was much, much better and well known.

yeah, i decided to wait a little bit, anyways my impression to buy it was because this one fits to the 3's perfectly... ;)

Which one does selective sound have?

the motevo unit running around $1000!!! You'd be better buying an aftermarket unit with much better features for that price. IMO

Id say this is the one you need to get. It looks OEM and you get what you pay for.

This is what i am ordering over the winter, it looks like a great product.

I have actually seen both of the units when I was at SEMA, and had lengthy conversations with both companies. There are Canadian and US distributors for both brands of units so availability and service shouldn't be an issue.

The primary market for these units is OEM aftermarket and their biggest sellers are actually for GM, Honda, Toyota Ford trucks and cars.

They don't put any effort into selling directly to the aftermarket like Alpine, Kenwood, etc.

Basically the core/guts are similar on all the units regardless of which vehicle it will be installed in. The OS is the same on all of them including the User Interface. The only differences in them is that the faceplates are designed to look like OEM installation and of course the wiring in the back for simple installs.

So after your discussions and seeing both units,
Which one would you recommend?
Which unit has the better interface, touchscreen, speed? etc?

thanks

Good question, I will have to get back to you. I am going to go through my notes to see. There was one that seemed to work better.

sorry for the delay on getting back to you, but it seems like that it was this unit that worked really well. The other unit was by Metevo and the software kept freezing on the display units at SEMA.

Granted it could have been just bad revision software, as I don't think anybody or company would spend the tens of thousands of dollars for the good sized booth and display that Motevo had.

The clincher for me is that the Eonon unit seems to operate on Windows CE (not perfect, but plenty of people know how to work it).

Hey guys,

I sent a question over to the ebay seller and he told me that the screen will not work for a 2004 Mazda 3. Just an FYI.....

Anybody have any recommendations for a 2004?
