I could have posted in the thread regarding "whats apps you have on your phone" but felt it might have gotten lost so I created a seperate thread.

i find this one not iphone to iphone though.. don't you guys think? it asked for my mobile number when i installed it, so the message goes through SMS? no?

I installed this on my gf's Touch and it works. Even though it asks for a telephone number, the verification code was sent to the Touch and no prbs. Since the Touch does not have/access a data plan, it's free texting!

So far very impressed with Whatsapp... ten times better then ping!! I like how it links with your contact book over all much better no hanging... no crashing so far the way ping did.. and can't wait to be able to add blackberry users.... so the can take their precious bbm and kiss my butt lol

It's a pretty good app but until it integrates into the BBM network I don't find much use for it. A lot of my personal contacts don't own iPhones.

didnt feel like making another thread on this but apparently Whatsapp is NO longer going to be free unless your part of the lifetime service. i just feel like people should know about this since its used widely and they may start charging you without notice when your service expires.

to see what kind of service you have, just go to settings > account > payment info

It's a dollar a year after the free first year...if you use it enough, not really something to complain about.
