Interesting (and obviously sad) story out of the US - two police cars were speeding through town at night and one hit an unlucky Mazda 3 as it made a left turn. Both driver and passenger of the Mazda 3 were killed. Video evidence shows the two cruisers speeding just before impact. Speed on impact was 94 mph (150 km/hr).

The police officer has subsequently been arrested - link to his arrest warrant (incidentally, the VIN number of the vehicle in the arrest report identifies it as being a 2008 Mazda 3):

There is speculation, based on the speeds and actions of the drivers in both vehicles, that the two POLICE cars may actually have been racing one another! I know that if it were two civilians in cars doing that kind of speed side-by-side at night, then causing an accident - they would both be charged with vehicular manslaughter, racing, etc ...
Sickening.
