Hey anyone got any hookups on Full Time jobs? I'm hardly getting hours at my workplace, and I now have to start working overnight for December just so I can get 5 days a week...

If you are interested in mould making for automotive, my shop is hiring a few apprentices. Not sure exactly what the money / hours are like, but it can't be terrible. It's hard work though, certainly not a 9-5 desk job.

I can try getting you a marketing job.
you are required to promote products or services for a company. No exp, required.

For example, Rogers, they send you to different locations such as best buy, futureshop, etc, and you have to interact with customers and promote the HD boxes etc.

Very easy job, lol

PM me if you are interested, and il let you know whats available.

^^ When I was at Best Buy, I talked to many of these folks. Most of them said they hated the job =\

Also, I can understand why. They really have no say in anything. They are just there to pitch products, that's all. They will get shit from the store's staff/management for not pitching services, and then, when customers wanna buy, they can't really do anything.

But, from what I've heard, the pay is better than working for the actual retailer... Except maybe FutureShop.

That makes no difference, you don't need to know a thing about how cars work. We build injection moulds in our shop, they are the tools that whip out front bumpers, rocker panels, etc...

Thats what i currently do, and i cant complain, most people are averaging $14/hr doing nothing. I just stand there answer questions and try to push products. It could get boring though, but nothing better then getting paid to stand there.
Some managers at some futureshop/bestbuy can be a bitch, but mostly the ones i work with dont really care. As long as you are not being a total goof, and shed some responsibility with your products, then your fine.

I could probably help you out. However the job is in Guelph (near the 401) and it's nights. There are some good points though. The pay and benefits are decent. Plus you get all the timmies coffee you can drink. :chuckle

another good job site to look at is canadianjobs.com
its a search engine that covers such sites as job bank canada, workopolis, indeed.ca and many other job sites on the net.

Job connecting is a great thing...and I know everyone appreciates it very much! I know I'm more than likely going to be using it to a degree trying to find a perm job once the spring comes in the heavy equipment field...

Thank you to those offering help and Good luck to those searching!

For anybody in Durham Region, my workplace (The Home Depot) is holding a job fair on February 12th and 13th for many positions including specialty sales, freight team, etc. etc. at the Ajax location (off of Salem and 401). We're hiring for FT, PT, and seasonal associates. Those hired will be adequately placed in either the Ajax location or the Whitby location (off of Thickson Rd. exit)

I will be one of the interviewers on those two days so if anybody needs a weekend job or night time part-time shifts, let me know.

PM me if interested.
