Is it just me or is this place full of rude arrogant people who think they are god's gift to car owners/buyers? myself, my parents, my friends, and my cousin all have had nothing but shitty experiences there. What gives? How can they survive treating people so poorly?

I have dealt with the Avante team on a few occasions, and only found them helpful. You will find there are a lot of people on this board who have been pleased with Avante.
Perhaps your expectations were not realistic?
Avante will always go out of its way to take care of there customers
they always did for me
its Mazda Canada i cant handle
so last Mazda for me

Yup. I have had nothing but horrible dealings with them since 2004. Same goes for my family and friends. But since Anne-Marie is on here and I have never met her I called her and am waiting for her to call back. Gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. But I am not hopeful.
i dealt with Anne for some time now we got 4 cars from her
and i was always given a good deal with out asking
i guess she knew i was going to ask and just gave me the discount
i think we got $3500 off on CX7

Rudeness mostly. Every time any of us have ever gone in there we are treated poorly, in a condescending manner, and spoken to as if we were born yesterday. That's just the tip of the iceberg. I left Anne-Marie a voicemail and I look forward to hearing from her.

I went in to Avante when I was ready to get my 3 because it was near my work. I had asked for a white 3 and they said they checked the Mazda system and there weren't any on Ontario (even in other Mazda dealerships) and if I wanted one in they would have to charge me the shipping (>$500).
I was getting rid of my Acura off lease and Acura had my 2K sec. dep that I would put down on the new Mazda, so I told them I can't sign anything until that is done (3 days). Since in my mind there were no white 3's out there I saw a nice Black one on their lot that they offered an amazing price for, however for some reason they couldn't get me into the car (Had the key fob, just didn't work)....and I was told it must not have been "activated" lol.....so I was ok with the black one for that price but they kept pressuring me to sign paperwork that day, even though I insisted I have to wait to know I got back my full 2K from Acura. Long story short I didn't like the pressure that was being put on me so I told them i'd come back in a few days when I got my full dep back and pick up the black one. I had every intention of coming back and picking up the black one.
In those three days I read on this forum about Jeff, sent him a quick email just to ease my thoughts about Avante, and he responded right away that he had a white one ready for me, I went in that week and the rest is history.
Just my experience.....they either lied to me about no white 3's in Ontario or didn't know how to use their computers, either way strike one......not being able to let me sit inside the very car you're offering to me for a great price....strike two......and constant pressure from the sales guy, senior saleswoman, and even dealership manager at the same after I insisted I could not sign that day......strike 3.........
Everyone is entitled to their opinions for dealers, and everyones had their good and bad experiences.
There is a reason for a forum, to voice your opinions.
If the OP had a terrible experience, he/she didn't really express it properly in the first post but the last one explains it perfectly.

Anne-Marie called me back and was very nice on the phone. I was in a hurry as I was at a gas station with my mother but I made sure she understood what I am looking for and she said she will see what they can do and get back to me. She seemed very nice and I'm going to give her a chance. I will keep everyone here updated.

My dad has a friend who knew Frank Serpa, the owner of Avante and referred us to Anne. Anne-Mare is awesome and gave me a great deal on my car :)

I had a very different experience at Avante than some of you. Mine so far has been completely positive. I dealt with Anne-Marie to buy our new vehicle after our 3 got written off.
Not only did they give us a fantastic deal, I worked out most of the details over the phone before even going in because I knew exactly what it was I was looking for. This saved me time from having to go dealership to dealership, price shopping. The service I've received so far has been fantastic, all the paperwork was quick to wrap-up!

I had my first dealing with Avante today
I emailed Anne-Marie about some parts
She was very quick at directing me to Raymond
Who was even faster at getting me the parts for my car

Just an update, since we picked up our new 2010 CX-9 GT last night.
While it took a while to get to us since it was on a boat when we ordered it in December, we finally took delivery last night. Anne-Marie and Victor went out of there way to keep me updated on the status and it's where abouts througout the process. Last week Mazda Canada closed their Toronto yard for inventory the day it was supposed to be picked-up so that I could take delviery. This delayed us picking up by a week, but Avante went to bat for us with Mazda Canada and managed them to give us a small rebate for the inconvenience.
Overall our experience with Avante was terriffic, and I won't hesitate to recommend any friends or family looking for a Mazda to talk to the team at Avante.
Nothing to say but positive comments about Avante Mazda.
We've seen 7-8 cars go through Avante since they opened further north on Yonge (beside the frog fitness center)
These guys have done great things for myself and my family.
Of the "original" team I use to know, I only recognize Anne-Marie, Frank (owner), and Raymond.
Anne-Marie has more than gone out of her way to help us get into multiple vehicles over the years.
Frank has occasionally graced us with his presence (inside joke) and has been outstanding all the times.
Raymond has provided me with some tough to find parts for my vintage car more than a few times. Hopefully he'll be able to do me another solid on my new project I'm trying to fix.
Anne-Marie is the person to talk too! :)

I also noticed the same thing at Avante Mazda when I went there with my parents to buy my car. Everyone seemed either stuck up or rude, and in the end they ended up lying to my parents about the trade in on their car. They told them that the wholesaler would only give them a certain amount on their car that they were trading in, so we had to settle for that. As soon as we left the dealership with the new car, they put my parent's trade in car up for sale! They never had any intentions of wholesaling it! After the few interactions I've had with the sales person (who I believe is now the sales manager), as well as the finance guy, I would never ever go back there again. Thank god I moved to Barrie and I can now deal with Moffats Mazda... much better!

I have had positive experiences with Avante in Sales, Service and Parts. Our sales person was Lorrie and I found her patient, polite and not pushy. Those are the three Ps for me. Even after almost concluding the sale, I asked for floor mats and she didn't play games or tell stories of how much profit they get on the car, she just said she would throw them in and even added the wheel nuts without being asked. She was also careful to explain carefully when I picked up the car.
Service has been good too although a tad more expensive than the smaller garages they seem to be doing a good job. I would have liked to get a reading of the pre and post alignment numbers to show me the difference. The shuttle service is a nice plus for the longer waits.
Parts has also been good. I got my cargo tray there and have asked about ipod and starter kits and service was quick and informative.
The finance person I dealt with was good too. Although he should have mentioned that we could delay payment at a later date because they have all these ads on that even though I wouldn't have done that. Overall it has been a positive experience.
I hope the experiences continue to be good.
