Always take the lock nut off first!....and there are special tools (and I don;t mean the techs) to take off broken lock nuts....but you might need to drill out the stud

Its really hard to see in the pic, but try hammering on an undersized impact socket (ie 3/4 or 19mm socket) That will usually be enough to get it off. If not, GL!!

did you say you had a mazda lock nut? can't see it from the pic... bring it to a tire shop... you'll be fine driving it like that but please just be careful. good luck. there's a special kind of socket that can get a grip on any kind of nut... even the round surface of a lock nut

^ Do this before you go out and pay for other options.

We did this when we lost the key to our lock and it worked no problem.

I lost mine, and my mechanic did this (I watched him do it), worked fine on all 4. One of the few times I've had to use my mechanic! lol

if it's that easy... what's the point in a wheel lock?!

Theft deterrent, not theft prevention.... And yes, it IS that easy.

Exactly.

That's why my parents and I don't really believe in wheel locks. lol

If the theives really want your wheels, they will get them.
But if your car is parked beside mine, and they both have the same wheels, one with locks, one without... who's do you think they will take?
But, we have insurancce for a reason.... Comp claims aren't supposed to increase your rates.

Me neither, unless if you have expensive rims. But then you could just get motion sensing alarm system. That way alarm will protect your whole car and wheels too.
