I suppose this is one of the first DCR built motors...as some of you can remember, this actually happened to a couple of local guys with the fuel pump installs done improperly without the cam follower...have a read and see how the Mazdaspeed community sticks together!
This DCR motor is supposed to be 500+whp...
Bad news folks! Engine is coming out of the car (http://www.mazdaspeedforums.org/forum/f10/bad-news-folks-engine-coming-out-car-44171/)
There's a donation thread in there somewhere to get this car back on the road and onto a dyno for some Mazdaspeed DISI win...
meh F that no one donated to me when Toronto Mazda did the same to my speed
cost me $3000 to get it back on the road

I read the whole thread, there are legit points for both sides. It's very nice to see a company taking the high road though, like DCR is. Hope this beast get's done though!

+1 I was in the same boat but at least the dealer fixed their screw up.

I'll believe it when I see it. Does DCR have a fuel solution as well? Are they using the Vivid Motorsports port injection?

I'm with you on that...they are working on secondary fueling, as is CP-e...it's beyond the realm of where I'd take my DD, but it's nice to see the envelope being pushed as to provide a little more margin for us on the sidelines, so to speak...
regardless of the fueling solution, a DCR built DISI is interesting...esp since the 2010's are supposed to be raced, perhaps even with factory support...also keeping an eye out for suspension tweaks from Tri-point...

Oh they did more than tweak it...

Hey Steve...long time buddy!
I've already posted those gorgeous pics here:
http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=40002
however, it seems the Tri-point car is a MZ3...I wonder how adaptable those tweaks are to the MS3? regardless tho, I'm looking to get their RSB and was hoping they'd tweak a set of MS coil-overs for me, but I was told they recently stopped offering that service...

Too long. :)
I figured you had seen those already. The regular MZ3 and MS3 suspensions are the same other than tuning so I would think most of their "tweaks" applies.
Now you've got me disappointed since I have a set of MS coilovers I would like revalved for stiffer spring rates and was considering Tri Point since I can't find anywhere local.

Steve...if you have a inside track to Tri-point, please verify this. The guy I was looking for I think his name is Brian Wong...they did a custom top hat w/ Kmac front camber plate along with adding Torrington bearings to the set...I've never called them cuz I'm not ready to pull the trigger yet.
it'd be sad if it's true cuz I believe them to be the best in the suspension game.

No in at Tri Point unfortunately. :(
