It'll be interesting to see what their fuel system is. Is it a secondary fuel system or an upgraded pump? I'm also dying to see what CPe has up their sleeves. Rumor is that it's full stand alone engine management... 2010 is looking up in the MS3 community...

I don't know about a stand-alone by CP-e...but my bet/suspicion is on tuning, or they've discovered some sort of fundamental logic roadblock in the ECU and overcame that, along with adding fuel pressure...

At the end of the day, it's fun to speculate, but really, it doesn't apply to my DD...even CP-e admited that their "breakthrough" for hp requires bigger turbo than OEM or re-worked/SST, which I can't see myself doing in the forseeable future... It does raise hope tho that we can make power without blowing...

If I still have my car after the warranty runs out, I might swap in a big turbo.. Why not? ;) Although if the handling from Forza3 is any indication of how a real life MS3 will behave after 400+whp, then I might not bother lol.

That's a Mazda SHELL... Not a Mazda. =) It's rear wheel drive to boot. Nice drag car tho ;)

Surprisingly he gives props to the Mazda engine at the end... I would be surprised if it was a Mazda3 motor in there. Certainly can't be from a MS3 since nobody has figured out how to get big numbers from those...

why would you ever want a fwd car with 400+hp to the wheels? it would be useless power as you would never have enough traction, specially trying to exelerate out of a corner. the MS3 should already be rwd or even awd.

It's called throttle control. You're supposed to use it around corners and accelerating at low speeds. 400whp is great for the 140km/h+ range.

the torque steer would be absolutly insane, even with the new torque sensing differential that the 2010 MS3 has. i mean it could be done, but i wouldn't.

Back when I was in the Probe club, there were people with over 400wtq in their probes. My 160tq at the crank stock probe torque steered MUCH more than my MS3 ever has even at 272wtq. Mazda has done a very good job with the MS3 limiting torque steer.
