Thumbs up for the Canadian Tire Car Wash.
10031 MCLAUGHIN RD. BRAMPTON.
I've been to Esso, Shell, and Sunoco and they all leave a dirty film behind. Well I went to the Simoniz car wash and it did a really good job. I was very impressed and I would say my car came out almost perfect. They are also having a special, 4 car washes for the price of 3. I thought this was a good deal.... Anyways, hope this isn't a re-post as I did do a search.
Cheers.

I've also noticed this with CT car washes. They clean better than any other wash I've been to.

railess and touchless? How much for 1 wash?

No rails and it's touchless.
Basic 6.99
Reg 7.99
Ultimate wash I think was 8.49.
But buy 3 get 4 washes is a good deal. Only catch is it expires April 2010.
I think Esso is 7.99 basic, 9.49 reg wash and 10 something for the works.

I've used the one at Heartland before and it left some residue... I find it to be a hit or miss and all depends on how long and how dirty your car is.

Went there today and agreed it didnt remove all the dirt. They gave me a free basic wash which was nice of them.
I use them often cause they're close. Petro Canada Glide is the best touchless i've used.

I think they don't clean as well as the Esso (the newer stations) touchless. Are the Simonz Crappy tire ones railess?

My GF gave me a coupon book for 4 ultimate washes at xmas and went the one in St. Caths. It did a good job, no soap residue, no left over dirt.

how does the car wash do in terms of drying your car?

Nothing beats hand drying but I've never been thru a car wash that removes all the water 100%. That's why you carry a microfiber cloth to remove the leftover.

Did the car wash today and chose the regular wash over the premium wash. This time the car didn't come as clean. On top of a regular car wash the premium car wash does a tricolor soap and rinse. I found that made a big difference with the out come. It's almost like it washes your car twice when you get the premium car wash...

i use the location on weber in waterloo. ive only had it washed there since i got the car,and ill keep going back.
love the tri colored soap smell, and the track never touches your rim one bit : )
however i noticed this week they took off the option with the tireshine. had it covered with a piece of paper. :(

I just had my first canadian tire wash (ultimate) and i am very impressed. Not only did it get a lot of the brake dust off the wheels, but that spot at the bottom of the doors where the gunk builds up is squeaky clean.

"Ulitimate". That's what it is called. I couldn't remember for the life of me... lol

To be honest, the Canadian Tire car washes are pretty good. It's almost as good as the Sunoco touchless car washes...though nothing beats a hand wash and wax ;)
Pioneer is the best for me!
Btw, the expiry date on the ticket can be renewed, just go in BEFORE the date and they will swap it for you.

I'm changing my review. The car wash did NOT remove most of the bugs last time I went through. Waste of time/money.

Bug stains are tough to get off your bumper/grill. There are times where I've gotta go back and scrub bug guts off on parts I've missed even after I've finished manually washing my car.
Going to try a premium today (no time for a hand wash just yet). Should I drive 15 mins for a Sunoco or 3 mins to my Cdn Tire wash better?

Bug grime is the worst. It dries and cakes to the paint. most pressure wash systems will not/can not get rid of the stuff. Depending where it is, loosen it up with the squeegee or some cloths and detailing spray.

Even so, the windshield should come pretty clean. :p I got better results pulling up to one of the gas pumps after and using a squeegie, while also getting dirty squeegie water on my "clean" car.
