alright so few weeks ago I lost my TV remote and had to turn it on by walking up to the tv. Also have a PS3, Blu-ray, Suround sound and a Rogers HD box it SUCKS having a remote for each unit and having to control everything by each remote.

Going from one unit to another I had to keep switching input on the TV and also on the suround sound unit.

Well today I walking into bestbuy and seen they had a Logitech advanced universal remote on sale for $79.99. (retail $164.99) I went ahead and picked one up to replace all 4 remotes so I would only use 1 for everything.

REVIEW: 10/10

All I can say is HOLY S**T

After a step by step set-up on the computer to set up the remote, I have it set where I just press the...

"watch tv" button it..
-Turns on TV to cable HDMI input
-Turns on suround sound to right sound input
-Turns on Rogers HD box

Press the "watch movie" button it...
-Turns on TV to Blu-ray HDMI input
-Turns on suround sound to right sound input
-Turns on Sony Blu Ray Player

Same goes to my PS3 where it switchs everything to the right input

this REMOTE DOES EVERYTHING!!!! even lighting controls :headbang

The red hand inprint on my face can confirm that this is not true.

I have an older Sony remote. It's a monster of a remote but it works pretty good. It's mostly touch screen and it a learning remote so you can program it to do things that other remotes can do. For example if you have a remote to dim the light the Sony can record that signal and you can dim the lights with the Sony remote. Congrates on the remote. Great price....

Oh wait, this remote works with the PS3 as well? I thought the PS3 used a Bluetooth remote instead of an IR remote.

no, you'll need the PS3 harmony bluetooth adapter

btw - been a long time fan of harmony remotes, beta tester at times. after using almost all of them the Harmony One is still my favourite.

I've had 3 Harmony's they are all amazing.
Yes you need an PS3 Adapter. Its very small and descrete and it works wonders. It will allow your Harmony to do everything your PS3 controller did. Its well worth the 80 or so to truly get rid of all your remotes.
If you haven't already gotten a PS3 remote, the adapter is only a little bit more than the sony one... so i'd just get the logitech

I've had Harmony remotes since day one and while I still love them, the quality is not as good as before as buttons etc stop working now after a couple of years which never happened before.

im on my second one. i love it. the first one, dropped it and the usb connector broke, logitech sent me a brand new one without asking for the old one. so now i have the 670. when that one dies i figure the 700 or 900 will be cheap enough haha.

i love it man. controls everything with one remote and you can make it learn other functions of the original remote if you still have it.

Missed the sale but they bumped to $89. Still a fair price. Picked up two. One for my parents as my mother is ready to kill my dad with his 5 remotes.

Got mine setup in 10min. 3 remotes gone. and the back lite function is great something Rogers PVR should have.
