Hey folks,

I'm looking for recommendations for a good, clean emission test facility that isn't too strict, somewhere around Scarborough Town Centre. I'm running a header so I don't want to be flunked on the visual inspection. Also, I need to get in there during the evening, so a place that is open until 7 or 8 would be perfect.

I saw SFW's post about Hakka, but with so many shops in my area I'd like to see if anyone has feedback on some shops closer to home. Feedback is appreciated.

Thanks, Jason

depending on where you go, it depends on the inspector.
i would never fail a car because of a header.

also, if your car is too low, which it just might be, a two speed idle can be performed.
(instead of a drive test, and an idle test, two idle tests are performed. one at ~2500 rpm, and one at idle)

i know a couple people have had etests with a full exhaust (btown-mazda i think), and they passed just fine.

mine passed with flying colours and I did it at Mountain Mazda
There is a thread around here somewhere where people are posting their results with mods

If you got no cats then you might as well not bring your car in for e-test..not only will it not pass but it's illegal not to have cats on

Ha ha! I don't think I need any luck; I should pass just fine, just like Dave and B-Town have (similar setup's on our cars). I'm mainly looking for a recommendation on a shop in my neighbourhood. BTW, I'm not looking for some under-the-table, seedy shop to 'buy' a pass from. I'll pass on the up-and-up. Thanks for the feedback so far, please keep it coming.

If you check engine light is on it's ok..if it's flashing then they are not supposed to do it
