You guy notice when you refer EVERY single person to Street Perofrmance, Jimmy is getting busy and it is hard for us to get an appointment. Jimmy only has 2 hands, he can't take care of the whole TM3's car by himself. Last time, I called for an appointment, he is extremely busy and won't able to give me an appointment until like 10 days after. My schedule allow me to a certain time as well, so I ended up going elsewhere.

10 days???? If your looking for time on Saturday, ya, it will take a while since he is only open a few hours that day. Monday to Friday, I haven't had a problem getting something set up if I called earlier in the week.

That's key right there! I always setup an appointment during the week and he's always open! As for Saturdays good luck with that! Regardless, to the OP he's definitely the guy you're looking for! I won't be going anywhere else no more!

+3. Weekday appointments with Jim are no problem and for members, he will often stay late or defer other appointments for true emergencies. Weekends, Jim is crazy busy and is usual booked-up a few weeks in advance, but he will still try his best to accomodate members. The guy needs some time off too.

Agreed being a sponsor myself you need som e time to yourself otherwise you go nuts don't be to hard on him. I har never been there but have heard many great things and wouldn't hesitate going there if I had to. But also remember business is business and you cannot negotiate with that lol

Promoters Auto at Warden/Eglinton. The owner (Henry) is a sri-lankan and most of his mechanics are as well. Interesting note, a lot of aircraft mechanics work there as well. I've never had any problems.

Who is the best mechanic out there? Is Jimmy best? I heard he charges 40 for oil change. (not sure if that is true).

Jimmy is the best (search for the review of Street Performance). Price depends; are you bringing your own parts?

Tks. Before your car warranity expires, do you think it is neccessary to get your car check? Is it worth it? Can mechanics check your engine and transmission and see if there will be potential issues?

I would do it, but certainly not with a Mazda dealer. I'd take the car to Jimmy at Street Performance and make an appointment for a once over of the vehicle and that would also include a more lengthy test drive by Jimmy to see if he hears or feels anything wrong, apart from what might be visually and mechanically obvious.

Most of us bring in our own oil and Jimmy provides the OEM filter. $20.
