Have any of you taken a car with blacked out/modified reflectors to DriveTest?

Was just wondering if anyone took their car with blacked out or modified reflectors for their G/G2 tests and if the examiner's gave you any difficulty regarding "passing" the car for safety?

If you haven't, do any of you know anyone who has done this? Or your thoughts?

Mine is coming up in two weeks so I'd appreciate thoughts/comments...

Took mine. No problems what so ever. Still got to book.


They just focus on brake lights, emergency light, left right turn signal, thats it.


Keep in mind, I have tinted tail lights, so you shouldn't have to worry Angela, if I never got in trouble.

took my G Road Test, with smoked reflectors on my car, no problem or questions at all regarding them, mainly keen on brake lights working and signals and horn. other than that was a breeze !

not if MTO isn't there lol but they don't look under it.. I took my civic with my suspension making squeaking noises on every bump and he didn't say nothing about it... he said they look for safety problems in the car or safety of others... and note to double your chance in passing make a conversion with the guy lol i liked the guy i did mine with

You shouldn't have any problems with it as long as your tail lights and head lights are not blacked out....but realy it all depends on the person..when i went for my G2 i had the biggest *******..

I think you have to do the G-2 test all over again. And I was going to go for my G but I slept in for my test :bang.

$75 for license renewal.

Oh and the sticker so expensive... $70 and $60 new vehicle tax... :flaming

I would take the MDX but if I can pass my G test in a standard I know I will be happy.
