do any of the manufacturers have any 2nds that they sell cheap with cosmetic defects? You should try calling the sales reps to see if they can hook you up with something like that.

if you're not in a super hurry for, or don't have a huge need for a giant tv, just get a nice regular 32 or 36 inch and save up for when the OLED tvs come out (in larger sizes)

meh...... still have yet to see the full power of the 3D LED TV but yes the 9000 series is nice. But getting your TV at cost isn't thaaat much of savings with BB or FS

But for TRUE BLACKS (well close to on 8000 series) = perfect TV I'd trade my new 46" sony any day for led (SOOO THIN DROOOOOOL)

doesnt it all depend on the tv, i swear some are marked up by like a grand and with employee discount you pay cost plus 10% i think... home theatre is really the only department with significant discounts, especially on like HDMI cables

other than home theatre... most of the time youd just pay more with the employee discount...

Home theatre and car audio. Plus any accessory is disgustingly cheap

That's correct, the employee discount is the cost plus 10%. They will say the 10% is to restock the item. Computers/ laptops hardly have any mark- up as the technology moves so quickly that a current computer/ laptop is considered obsolete in no- time flat compared to.... say.... tv's. Gaming systems as well have hardly any mark- up. Car audio, home theatre, and appliances had the biggest mark- ups overall (depending on brand, size, etc.).

This is correct as well... varies between brands.

yea working there and checking cost on any item your interested is fun, unfortunately i quit and barely used my discount when i had the chance, clearance items are the best sales by far for employees, if your managers like you they almost give it away
