So I got some logs on my Dashhawk that was just wondering about. The first one looks fine to me, I believe it was a 1st-2nd-3rd gear pull. Boost targets look low for 1st and 2nd gears, I think that maybe attributed to the colder temperatures (approx -2 degrees celcius (both logs were taken bout a week ago)). AFRs look normal to me, Shifted at 5700-5900RPMs.

Its my fuel pressure that concerns me. The first snapshot as you can see seems fine maybe even a bit on the high side from what I have read for a stock CDFP. However this links me to my second snapshot (if you look toward the end of the first snapshot) on WTF is the car/CDFP doing.

This second snapshot has me confused. Why does my CDFP ramp up to 1800psi. As you can see it going up to 1800psi and holding there cept for the part where I bliped the brake and it then it shoots back up to 1800psi even though during both times my AFR's are going lean (as it should under decel from what I understand).

Could it be that because the car is NOT injecting fuel into the chamber (hence the high AFRs) that the pressure is building up in the rail, and hence the reading going to 1800psi?! This normal? Or cause for concern?

NOTE: the log time (x axis) on both graphs are different. I had to shrink the second snapshot to fit more of it in the screen.

Also, What are you guys with Dashhawks logging? like what PIDs or settings? Does anyone know the correct PID/Setting for TPS. I want to log the tps, as I am getting the Piasini tune and the claim is that it lets me use 100% throttle like the CPe flash. So I want to log/monitor that before and after. Anyone know? I tried Absolute TPS but I never even see it go close to 80%, that the correct one?

the stock CDFPhits 1700's and spikes to 1800's...I wouldn't worry if I were you, since the only time for concern is when it's LOW...you don't have the problem...

with regards to the PID's, are you using tghe Mazda specific ones that can be found on MSF?

I might be stupid in reading...but on that second snap shot, what were you doing?...you reached high rpms and let off?

I got rid of my dashhawk as soon as my AP became able to log...as nicer as the DH logs are (colour, graph tool, etc.) it was not worth the trouble for to second guess whether th AP or DH is correct...

But if you plan to stick with the DH, more power to you! It's a great tool as long as you get it updated with the correct PID's.

Yeah I read that it hits 1700 normally and spikes to 1800. So seems normal.

I been using the non-Mazda one for Absolute Throttle Position, as the Mazda specific doesnt have one. The only one under Mazda is Mazda->Actuators->Actual Pedal Position, which I dont think is what I am looking for, because that would be the Pedal, not the actual TPS, or am I figuring that wrong?

Theres a few TPS ones under the normal Actuators. I figured the Absolute Throttle Position is the one I am looking for. There is another under Sensor (the generic one) for Relative Throttle Position. I suppose I could try that one.

No your not reading wrong. I was doing a pull, and a jackass decides to take a right turn OUT of a building (like out of the parking lot) and do it wide as to go into the leftlane directly. I had to brake, seen by the steep decline in RPMS, and I went to the right lane to slow down. However by this time I noted the DIFuelPressure go right to 1800psi so I was like.. WTF? I kinda let it coast to see was it a spike, but it was constant, hence I brought it up here. Didnt think of it being normal because of the injectors closing and hence the rail pressure increasing at the time, was somewhat flustered.

I am not sure, but I have seen instances where my DI PSI doesn't corespond to what I'm doing...for example, I've seens imilar situation as your 2nd log...let off, still high psi, until say it drops below 3000rpm...

I've also seen time where I was lazy and lugging the car in 4th at low rpm (below 3000rpm) and the DI PSI would jump to 1400's, but as I let off, it'd hit way low...like into the 200's...

I think at certain rpm range (above 3000), it's somewhat predictive that you may jump back on the throttle...but in the lower rev range, it maybe more lax/fuel economy minded...

I'm sure about the above tho, just my observations...
