Well I am nowhere near Toronto as the title implies, I don't even drive a 3. I do drive its bigger bodied sibling though, a 2007 Mazda 5 GT which I bought last year with the help of advice from Lars who I know from another board. It's been a great car so far, not as surefooted as 3 and a tad bit underpowered for how heavy it is but everything else about it fits what I need and it still handles local mountain roads well enough that I can't complain. 0-60mph is about 8.1 seconds, My main hood is over at bcmazda3.com but hey we're all representin Canada here. I've lurked around checking out some rides but here is my official hello.

Here's my ride, I haven't done much to it other than adding an HID kit. I might get new rims with summer rubber, and I might drop it with BC coilovers when the shocks/struts which are due for replacement at anytime finally blow, but really I'm just holding out until the next generation 5 comes in possibly for the 2011 model year but likely for the 2012 model year, which will likely get the 2.5 and 6 speed.

Lol it's good you can tell there are HIDs in that photo, it's a 4300k kit so it's more obvious at night. The seats are two tone fabric the 06 and 07s came with... those same years the leather option was espresso brown which didn't prove to be very popular although I would've rocked it.

What lol. I've been to Toronto a few times when I lived in Windsor and then most recently in 2006. Pretty cool place to visit but I could never leave Vancouver.

Yah I'm looking for a good racing seat for him! Sparco I presume? I'm hoping to get him forward facing as soon as he hits 20 lb, and then get him a 7" monitor and Wii with some racing games or whatever when he's old enough for that. :)

Yeah, nice; 4300K HID's most closely resemble factory Xenon headlights (at least in the Mazda3), making them the best choice. (And best output.)

The output's awesome, I lurv my HIDs. The 5 Grand Touring in the US has stock HIDs, an option not available here.

Welcome to TM3! :)

The Lower Mainland, in Mission, about 65km east of Vancouver where I work. Fricken long commute lol.
