Anyone work for Rogers wireless / Affiliate?

Just thought i'd try my luck here. I had a friend who worked for Rogers and worked out a sweet deal with monthly credits and whatnot for my gf's plan, but he's since gone over to sell for the dark side (Bell).

Her contract is coming up for renewal, so i'm trying to get her into a better (read: cheaper) plan + data to go with a smartphone (once she makes up her mind).

if the contract is coming to term, you should have no problem with getting a cheaper plan. unless you are at max credits already.

I had a similar issue in the past. There is a TM3er at Sherway Gardens, Bramalea City Centre, and the Chinese Centre on Spadina/ Dundas downtown.

:) I know I can call up retentions, and btw there have been changes to how that works, but knowing someone can get you a lot more!

Yeah the retentions dept. has tightened up quite a bit over the past few years. I used to work for Rogers and still talk with some people there, but it was retail and we couldn't do squat. You need somebody with access to their system called Vision21, then you're golden.

I worked for Rogers for about a month or so (:chuckle), and all the wireless people I knew are gone too :p

Justin is at either Erin Mills or Bramalea, and Chan is at Sherway. Pretty sure Alfonso is still doing part time at Sherway as well.

.... sorry forgot to add that I don't remember the guy's name who works at the Chinese Centre on Spadina/ Dundas. I just remember that it was a kiosk/ booth that carried all carriers (simillar to Wireless Wave and The Booth).

I have been reading at the Hofo forums about the retentions people, and apparently a lot depends on the right person to get the right stuff..

I have been contract free since '08 and just waiting for the X10 to come and then approach Rogers and see what they can do..

:P I'm totally ready to negotiate with retentions - i've duked it out a few times with other carriers, and I know the cx agent back end system from my days there, so I know what to look out for - just looking for a faster/easier way. Thanks for the help guys :)
