Any reason why you're passing? Went last year, was pretty boring.

Last year, a bunch of the automakers weren't even there. I'm sure i'll be the same or worse. Everyone is trying to save pennies.

I just found the last several years the show has been progressively less interesting. Manufacturers skipping the show entirely, or bringing existing cars. These shows interest me to see new cars, and prototype cars, things I may one day see on the road, or may never see.
If I want to see a bunch of already existing cars...I can go take a walk through a dealership or five.

Which manufacturers were not there last year who have been there in the past?

sweet, post padding. cool post bro.
I guess I have to be a bit more specific, like if the new mazda2 (or the euro-spec mazda2) or the refreshed mazda5 will be there. Just like what they did with the updated version of Mazda3, which they showcased last year before hitting the dealerships. or, let's say, one of their concept cars, like what honda did last year as well.

The new Mazda 2 is there as well as the hydrogen concept RX-8
They actually announced at the autoshow that the Mazda 2 will be on sale in Canada in the early summer :)

yep, went last year
good show, but i didn't realize until the end the show is ONLY in the MTCC (north + south), nothing in the skydome/rogers centre. that was kinda weird, so there was no redline thingy with the tuner cars - but i guess that's what Import Fest is for
The Toyota area in the north building was deserted...
... that's actually one of the main attractions I look forward to. I know it's not a huge section, but I'm a huge tuner fan... plus I look forward to the sales.
I know alot of people probably don't care about that particular section, but that was just my :.02

Went to the Autoshow last night... wow it really was horrible compared to previous years! No big elaborate displays it's almost like they just didn't care. Here are our cars and that's it.
I noticed I wasn't getting shocked... this time around.

two words describe the show this year "Weak Sauce" i was very unimpressed by pretty much everything! Very few exotics and concepts (although some were quite nice) and I could have easily walked in and out of there in 30 mins and been totally satisfied, but, all in all, spending a few hours with friends for $20 looking at cars.... wait a second.... i do that for FREE at meets.... but i digress... will skip this show next year and go every OTHER year as it's just not worth it!
Leaving my pics on facebook because posting would kinda be a waste, maybe later....
...... my $0.02

I actually liked this years show. The employees at the booths were friendly and knowledgeable. In particular, Mazda and Audi booths. The Mitsubishi folks did not give a crap, the employees chatted as people among themselves as people were asking questions to each other related to their cars.
I agree , bad show.
From what I could tell what was missing from previous years was Porsche, Aston Martin, Rolls Royce, Lotus. Ferrari had the worst showing I can remember. Sure the 599XX was there but just that and the California. Lambo was not great and Black cars on a Black background made for awful pictures and people pretty annoyed with it. I don't know what they were thinking, people love to take pictures at the show and they do this to just piss them off.
Anyway, I doubt I will go next year. The parking lot and Mosport is better for seeing exotics.
