I got an HID kit to install in my 2010 Mazda 3 Sport. Do I need a relay harness as well?

I installed HIDs in my 2010 without them

You don't need it for the HIDs to work, but it is insurance in case something DOES happen

You probably don't need one but they are always recommended. I didn't use one for my low beams on my '07.

Can you show me an example of what I'll need?
(I read something about DRLs and hibeams but doesn't help me in telling what i'll need)

H11 is what you need for the low beams.

I got http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/showthread.php?36895-Slim-HID-Kits-100-Flat!!-w-Relay-18-Months-Warranty from sp3GT and the transaction was smooth. It came with slim ballasts, bulbs, and that's pretty much it.
I know there is a number of sponsors who's offering H11 kit right now so you may want to pm them.

For 2010, all you'll need is: 2 Ballast, 2 HID Bulb, Wiring Harness, and mounting hardware and warranty lol.

i have seen some after market kits for HID kits in other cars but the beam was so bright and scattered light everywhere.with the 2010 mazda 3 projector lights will it focus the light? and are they as good as the OEM hid lights found on the GT model?

The Mazda 3 projectors are not bad but of course not as good as cars with OEM projector lens. I'm not sure what the OEM GT model uses.

The ones you see with light scattered all over the place are probably cars without projectors and with reflectors instead.
