View Full Version : Will rust proof from Krown void my dealer rust proofing warranty?

So I got what I thought was a pretty decent deal for undercoat and rust proof, as well as some paint protection and sound proofing when I picked up my 2010 sedan.

Now doing some research (which i should have done first) I figure I should have passed and just gone to crown. That being said, would it be worth while to get the rust proof done at krown as well? Would it void my warranty on what the dealer did? Anyone got an idea?

ehh... rust proofing is hit or miss... Some cars rust some don't, regardless of how much rust proofing is done. My dad's currently driving a 96 dodge minivan with no rust, and it's never been treated. Do whatever makes you sleep better at night, and i'm sure the dealership would be thrilled if you got it done by Krown (it means you're actually protecting the dealer even more from having to shell out cash for you).

hi fuhreakz...do you mind telling me how much everything cost you? I'm thinking to do the rust proofing only at the dealer for $499
thanks :-)

I don't know if you just read the last post but if you scroll up, I got rust proofing, under coating, sound dampening and clear coat protection (glorified wax)....

Just out of curiosity - why are you considering getting Krown if you've already got the factory rustproofing? It seems like overkill to me.
