ok...not in the best mood today wrapping up work a little under the weather...
I got 3 calls from some number today..."something Perfomance on behalf of Rogers"...
I picked it up and the lady on the phone was taking her time, and taking up mine...
I didn't even let her finish, and asked what's up...she said she's calling about changes to my Rogers Internet in March...
I was like...so wtf you're calling me so many times for, leave a ****ing VM...she said something about my swearing and threatened to hang up..to which I said...good, hang the **** up and don't ****ing call me back...**** you...
This has to do with the jacking up of the Internet over usage fee right? from $25 to $50?
**** you Rogers
PS: for those of you's on the phone, I was one of you's myself, til I woke up and realized how much of my life they're taking from me...so wake up and get a better job instead of bitching at me for bitching at some bitch calling me 3 times to jack up my internet rates...

haha, I do the same thing. The best is when they ask you to verify your information. They called you, shouldn't they know it already?
Personally I hate it when these companies call "on behalf of Rogers". I just don't talk to them.

ahhahahah ahhh good for you!!!
Seriously though what's up with Rogers lately? They LITERALLY do call 3 times a day and when you finally pick up, they take SOOOO long to respond... it's very hard to keep your cool and not go ape shit on them.
I have a theory they're just lazy and don't actually want to call people... most people hang up by the time they respond, so they can cross that number off their list and leave early for the day without having to deal with angry customers :chuckle

They use a server/call device called a 'Predictive Dialer'. Most telemarketers, which is what they are since Rogers usually outsources this stuff, use the same technology, but not all predictive dialer systems are created equal. Some have more lag than others. The person on the other end is not actually dialing your number; a machine is and when you pick up, you are connected to the next available call personnel. Hence why you are receiving multiple calls and also why there is a lag. Rogers, or their partners of choice, is not very good at engineering provisions (or caring) so that you don't receive multiple calls on the same topic...

I needed to revive this... I just reamed out a TD Canada trust telemarketer REALLY badly, and now I feel all guilty :( LOL!!!
They've been calling me TWICE a day for over a week now, NON STOP!!!!! I finally answered when I was on vacation, OUT of the country, and I heard nothing but dead air...
The number is 519-645-6054, I googled it and TONS of people said they've been getting the same phone call constantly... anyone else getting calls lately from the same number??

i had this happen to me once with scotiabank. I told the lady that if i want a service from my bank I will ask for that service from my bank, I also told her that If I receive any more calls on this or anyother topic from scotiabank I will imediately pull all of my services from them! I have never had a call from them again :)

YA, I tried that last night... I called their regular customer service line and told them if they don't stop calling every day I'll just move all my banking to my current secondary bank... I couldn't understand a WORD the sales rep was saying to me, but I was pretty sure he put me on some sort of do not call list for TD... then 1 hour later I got ANOTHER call!!! ... it was probably towel... hahahahah
Why a 519 number though? So weird... I even tried calling Telus to see if they could block the number but they said that's not possible :(

Lol, I don't get much from Rogers or my bank however, I always get calls for great long distance. I love it, I just tell the guy/girl I get unlimited worldwide calls for $20 :D They are always speechless......

I LOVE TD!!!!!!
Cause they pay my salary.
Before you start hating on your bank, you have the option of opting out of sales calls. Just speak to easyline (I try to call during the day to prevent the outsourcing of my call to india) and they will make the change to your profile.
TD takes that stuff seriously. Heads roll when they find out people have been solicited even when they have requested to not be solicited.....
As for Rogers - I hate the multiple calls with no voicemail crap.....when I finally answer and say "Take me off the list", they get quiet like Ive confused them.
Its been a while since I got a call - maybe I was removed from the list? :)

I DID!!!!!!!!!!! That's why I'm pissed and reamed them out. They called TWICE since I told them to stop calling last night. They don't give a shit.

Banks and their own "Do not call lists" are serious business...since banks are self-regulated, the fines are very serious and ppl can lose their jobs, so opting out of calls from banks is effective. however, the bank can still call you to tell you you're a dead beat (for non-payment) or if there's something wrong with your accounts (fraud)...

if it gets that bad, you can always write a letter to the Office of the President for TD. they take this stuff very seriously...

I might have to. Cuz I asked the girl if I listen to what she has to say will they stop calling, and she said "probably not". Something about the lists not taking effect for 3 months or something? And different departments blah blah... That's totally BS.

Internet charges have to awful as of late.. I've had phantom charges show up on Rogers bill, ones the CSR couldn't even justify..They give me the "Well if its on your bill, you must have done something, charges don't just show up on their own" BS. I've switched over to TekSavvy and haven't had any GB limits or usage problems on my bill.. However, they did inform me that they are planning to switch over to cable internet technology from ADSL.
Everytime a call goes to my house, I let the machine get it and screen. If it's really important like doctors, or an appt, etc, they'll leave a message.
